Digital Extremes had a massive presence at PAX East on Friday. They not only attended the event with a packed Devstream filled with so many announcements for their long-running game, Warframe. But they were able to use the main event theater to go into details about some of these new announcements. Such as the upcoming Jade Shadows content update for the game. This update announcement was a surprise, and it seems as though it will tackle a lingering plot thread. Here are all the details we know about Jade Shadows so far!

Details on Jade Shadows for Warframe

Jade Shadows will be the next major update for Warframe following Dante Unbound. Jade Shadows will feature a cinematic quest for the game. The cinematic focuses on the Stalker. A character that has been mostly absent from a lot of the latest content added to the game. He plays a major role in The Second Dream, and The New War. But in recent updates he has been just relegated to the surprise kill attempt in missions. What the main plot of the cinematic quest will be in Warframe is not known at this time. But in the promotional artwork, it was confirmed that the vehicle is the Stalker’s. So, this may be his ship, but what more significance will it have?

Jade Shadows will launch sometime before TennoCon 2024 and will also feature the 57th warframe, Jade. Her signature weapon may be either a scythe or speargun by the looks of it. More details can be found in our breakdown of Devstream 178.
