Despite some initial backlash, Ubisoft Montpelier’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown released to critical acclaim. Supporting the title’s future, Ubisoft announces a roadmap of paid and free updates for the Ori and Metroid-inspired platformer.

Similar to Sonic Frontiers, The Lost Crown will be getting updates throughout this year. This includes new challenges for players to complete, a paid expansion by year’s end, and more costumes for main character Sargon to don. A press release via the game’s official Twitter says the following on the roadmap:

Three free updates and one story DLC are on the horizon in the coming months.

Overall Thoughts

As a fan of this franchise throughout the 2000s and personally quite enjoying the studio’s work on the Rayman series, I am quite pleased to see this game get further support. With additions to the experience that will only add to the game’s overall value, hopefully, this will inspire better sales throughout the year.
