Warframe: Dante Unbound Launches March 27th

As a surprise announcement, during their recent Devshorts, Digital Extremes has announced the launch date for their next major update. Dante Unbound will be launching in just a few short weeks on Wednesday, March 27th. This update will bring with it the next warframe, Dante. Alongside two new incarnon weapons, two new mission types and a whole slew of changes to the game. Here is everything you need to know about Dante Unbound for Warframe!

All Details on Dante Unbound for Warframe

For starters, this update will bring with it, of course, Dante, the Chronicler. Dante will be earned via a new game mode being added to the Entrati Labs. Entrati Disruption will be a new take on the normal game mode, which you will need to finish Whispers in the Walls, and The Deadlock Protocol to gain access to. Where a new foe called “The Gruzzling” will appear and steal keys and other valuable loot. You will have to track it down when it appears to kill it and prevent progress from being lost. Necramechs will take the place of the mini-bosses you have to kill. Every round will reward you with a chance of Dante’s parts and other rewards.

If you are not lucky, you can also purchase his parts with a new resource earned in Entrati Disruption. Dante’s Abilities are as follows:

  • His Passive, Chronicler’s Mark:Noctua scans targets, recording information for your Codex. Status Chance increases on fully scanned targets.
  • First Ability, Noctua: Open Noctua, Dante’s Exalted Tome, and unleash a tale of woe upon his enemies.
  • Second Ability, Light Verse: Dante’s vitalizing composition grants him and his allies Overguard and increases their Max Health.
  • Third Ability, Dark Verse: Dante’s composition draws blood from nearby enemies, inflicting Slash Damage upon them.
  • Fourth Ability, Final Verse: Dante must compose two other Verses before his Final Verse. Two Light Verses invigorates allies with Triumph. Two Dark Verses attack enemies with Tragedy. A Light Verse followed by a Dark Verse supports allies with Wordwarden. A Dark Verse followed by a Light Verse summons Pageflight to swoop at enemies.

His abilities will require some experimentation to get used to, but he sounds very interesting. Just like the two incarnon weapons coming with the update.

New Weapons and Entrati Lab Rooms

Two new incarnon weapons are coming with this update. One will be Ruvox, which is a pair of fist weapons that turn into claws. These claws will root enemies in place using a similar animation to a void angel special move.

Ruvox

The other is Onos, which will be a wrist cannon like Epitaph that will evolve into an arm cannon like Shedu. No details have been given on any special functions yet.

Onos

You can earn these via the same pity system that you can buy Dante from. Alongside a new game mode, Dante and these two new weapons are a whole slew of new rooms for the Entrati Labs. One of which is the room that featured the train flying across it in the quest.

You can also experience a new raid-like activity called Deep Archimedea. Deep Archimedea will feature three missions similar to a sortie, but will have no breaks in-between. If you pick a warframe and set of weapons? You will be stuck with those until the full activity is over.

Deep Archimedea will require rank 5 with The Cavia and will grant you up to 6 rewards from it. You will have to include certain optional modifiers and equip certain warframes and weapons to get a meter to fill up to increase the reward pool. But you will always be given one guaranteed legendary arcane from the Netracells reward pool. Netracells will also be getting rebalanced for its reward chances to make it more rewarding for players.

Inaros Rework, and Styanax Deluxe

Finally, the long-awaited Inaros Rework is coming and will change the following:

  1. When you are reviving yourself you are no longer a coffin. You will be a sand clone that will kill to revive. The amount needed to revive increases with each time you go down in a mission.
  2.  First ability will be more potent and consistent with blinding foes and allowing finishers.
  3. The Sandstorm will now be duration based and you will drag enemies in when near them. They will be stunned for a time after the sandstorm and you can perform finishers on them. You will also get healed for all the enemies you hit while in the sandstorm.
  4. The third ability will now give just armor and the armor will decay to sustain status effects.
  5. The fourth ability will now create sand cats if enemies die to the scarab swarms.

Styanax Tonatiuh will be launching with Dante Unbound as well.

There will also be a whole slew of changes coming with Dante Unbound. Such as Progression Locking similar to how Duviri functions coming to The Circuit. As well as the weekly Archon Shard from Chipper being moved to the Cavia. Ascent Archon Shard fusion will be added and will require three of a normal shard to make a Tauforged shard. Eclipse will now be changed to a toggle ability instead of relying on current lighting technology in Warframe. Nourish’s subsume version will be getting a slight nerf as well. Finally, you can now customize how invisible warframes get if they have those abilities. This will allow players to see their warframe easier while benefitting from invisibility.
