As we begin to close out 2023 it is finally time once again for the next Suikothon. Suikothon is a marathon-like event where these great people run through all of the Suikoden and Suikoden-like games. These people consist of amazing speedrunners from across the world as far away as Indonesia, who hold records in a variety of games. I am going to share with you the schedule for Suikothon 4 which begins on October 27, 2023. You can catch all the gameplay on the RPGLimitBreak.
Last year I talked about each of the Suikothon runners and the potential world records they had. We aren’t going to talk about the records this time. We are going to share the schedule and runners and it is as follows. For the purpose of this article times will be listed as EST.

Kicking off Suikothon 4 at 9 a.m. EST will be the one and only Srd_27. He will be kicking off the event with an Any% NG+ for Suikoden Tactics. Then around 11:15 a.m., we have Tomm88 bringing you a 108 Stars run of Suikoden 1. After this around 3 p.m., our good buddy Seiglance will be running Suikoden Tierkreis. He will be doing an Any% run of that game. Then the last game starting that day will actually be a race of my favorite game of all time Suikoden 2. Fonzu_ & Mbahwin will be racing each other in an Any% run starting at 10:40 p.m.

After the Suikoden 2 race ends on day 2 Srd_27 returns to the Suikothon. At 5:20 a.m. he will be running Suikoden: Woven Web of the Centuries in a 108 Stars run. Next, we will have Narchoix showing off Suikoden 2’s Bad Ending which should take about 5 hours and 30 minutes. Then once again Srd_27 returns again to show off Exit Fate’s War Battle Showcase at 6:50 p.m. Lastly, at 9:20 p.m., we will have SpaceCoyote doing a 2x Speed Miakis% run of Suikoden 5.

The last day of Suikothon 4 starts with an Any% NG+ of Suikoden Card Stories. Srd_27 will be the one returning at 1:50 a.m. to show that off. At 4:30 a.m. we will have NeoSlash72 doing a 108 Stars run of Suikoden 2. Then we have one of my favorite people and the first speedrunner I found Z3R01337. He will be doing an Any% run of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising at 12:40 p.m. Our last of Suikothon 4 will be Suikoden 3. Seiglance will be returning around 2:40 p.m. to show off this one.
Wrap-Up
The Suikothon is a great way to showcase these amazing games and the speed runners you run them. These runners do this so they can share their love of these games and these series. With the Suikoden 1&2 Remakes and Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes both coming next year hopefully, this event will get people’s excitement going. I don’t know if we will see a world record broken, but I will keep my fingers crossed for it to happen. Big thanks to all the speedrunners for participating in this event.
