Furthermore, the game is ramping up for its release on September 19. New fighters join the roster, and the story details become clearer with each trailer. Sands of Time

Mortal Kombat 1 follows Liu Kang as the new protector of Earthrealm. Liu Kang became a god and reset the timeline for a more peaceful version during the events of Mortal Kombat 1 and Aftermath. However, keeping the peace is no simple task.

The “Keepers of Time” trailer reveals the return of Geras. Previously, he served under Kronika and proved to be a formidable antagonist to the protectors of Earthrealm. Now, he appears to be the new Keeper of the Hourglass and governs the timeline.

Additionally, the trailer showcases the return of Darrius as a Kameo fighter. Darrius last appeared as a fighter in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. He is sporting a new look for Moral Kombat 1 and impressive tag moves throughout the trailer.

Lastly, the “Keepers of Time” trailer showcases new fatalities. NetherRealm continues to push the bar for gore. There is blood aplenty with the new game’s fatalities and the trailer ends with a jaw-dropping black hole fatality. Liu Kang’s abilities as a god are very apparent.

Mortal Kombat 1 releases on September 19. Those who preorder any edition of the game gain access to the beta running from August 18-21.
