How To Craft Every Vest And Backpack In DMZ

Season 3 has brought some pretty big changes to the DMZ in Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2. From being able to modify your contraband weapons while deployed, as well as new stronghold bosses to defeat. Perhaps the biggest change has come with the bartering system. This system allows you to trade specific material that you will scavenge in both Ashika Island and Al-Mazrah and trade it in for unique gear. This barter system can be found within every buy station and here is a quick guide to the new vests and backpacks that are available. As well as what unique abilities you will gain from them once equipped.

3-Plate Stealth Vest

Components Needed

2 x Electrical Components

1 x Comic Book

1 x Game Console

If you are a solo player, then you will likely want to hunt down these components almost immediately. Once you barter and obtain a 3-Plate Stealth vest you will be unable to be detected on enemy UAVs. You also will not appear highlighted by targeting attachments such as the thermal or night vision optics. This vest will allow you to stealthy move through the DMZ allowing you to constantly have the element of surprise on your enemies. Most of these components can even be found together in shops and office spaces all over Al-Mazrah.  It is quite easy to get this vest as a fresh spawn if you have been recently wiped by another player. If you find yourself playing DMZ as a solo player frequently this is the vest I recommend you have in your inventory consistently.

3-Plate Medic Vest

Components Needed

3 x Bandages

1 x Liquor

1 x Watch

If you play DMZ with an aggressive squad that is constantly pushing players and AI engagements. Then it is likely one of you should run a 3-Plate Medic Vest. This vest will give you the ability to not only revive your teammates faster but also you will be able to self-revive yourself quicker as well. This vest is a great investment especially if you have teammates that favor a fast and heavy approach to combat. The extra second of time saved during a revive might just be the difference between winning or losing an encounter with another team. This perhaps is one of the easiest vests to barter for as all 3 items can be found in gas stations all over both Al-Mazrah and Ashika Island.

3-Plate Comms Vest

Components Needed

2 x Hard Drive

2 x Battery

1 x Soothing Hand Cream

A 3-Plate Comms vest can be a great investment especially if you are running in a full team of 3. The benefits of the Comms vest can instantly be noticed as players wearing one will receive audio cues when enemy players are nearby. On top of this, all UAVs whether used as a scorestreak or activated by a tower will automatically become advanced UAVs and show not only enemy player locations. But also the direction in which they are currently facing. This alongside an increased radius for your UAVs makes this vest essential for gathering intel for your team. It will allow you to engage or avoid players depending on what situation you find yourself in.

Scavenger Backpack

Components Needed

1 x Battery

1 x Canned Foods

2 x Gun Cleaning Oil

The Scavenger backpack is a useful option for players who tend to carry a variety of loot and equipment in their inventory. With a scavenger bag, you will not be able to stow an additional weapon within your backpack. You may lose your gun slot, but you end up gaining an additional 2 spaces to carry any form of gear and treasure you find throughout your deployment. This backpack can prove invaluable to solo players who are trying to complete some of the more difficult missions in DMZ.

Secure Backpack

Components

1 x Electric Drill

1 x Gas Can

1 x Gold Skull

This might be the most difficult vest to barter for in DMZ simply for the Gold Skull component alone. A Gold Skull can sometimes be found in strongholds alongside Gold Bars as well. However, the easiest way to guarantee a Gold Skull is to hunt down the Scavenger boss found across both Al-Mazrah and Ashika Island. He will always drop a Gold Skull as well as a variety of other great loot. Once you have obtained the Gold Skull the rest of the components are a cakewalk in comparison.

Once you have obtained all of these components you will have an essential backpack for completing some of the endgame missions in DMZ. A Secure Backpack will allow you to keep whatever items that you take out of the DMZ with you. Typically if you exfil with items, tools, or other items they will be exchanged automatically for experience at the end of the match. Not if you have a Secure Backpack, which allows you to keep these items between runs. This makes certain missions in DMZ a lot easier to complete. Especially since if you die with a Secure Backpack equipped, you will be able to keep the items that were in your inventory for your next run. This is especially helpful if you are trying to complete a multiple-step mission and you get attacked by other players and perish.

There you have it, that is how you can barter and craft all the newest vests and backpacks within the DMZ in Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Which one are you going to try to barter for first? Let us know in the comments and don’t forget to check back for the latest gaming news and information.
