During today’s Final Fantasy 7 25th Anniversary event Square Enix announced a remake of the cult classic PSP game Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII. The remake will be in the vein of the 2020 Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Square Enix has titled this remake Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion.

Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII was released in 2008 as a PSP title. It serves as a prequel to the original Final Fantasy VII, where you play Zack Fair. Final Fantasy VII remains one of the most beloved RPGs of all time and this prequel was a direct continuation of that.
