E3 2021: Everything Shown at the Xbox-Bethesda Press Conference

The Xbox-Bethesda conference was 90 minutes of nonstop announcements with two breaths for Halo and Forza. They opened the show with their most anticipated title in Starfield and closed with a brand new IP from triple A developer Arkane Studios. Here is everything shown at the conference.

Starfield

It has been a long time coming, but we finally got our first taste of what Starfield will be, and it was surprisingly grounded.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl

The storied PC franchise is making a comeback. Chernobyl is as close to a post-apocalypse as we have on planet Earth right now which makes it ripe for work as

Back 4 Blood

The spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead lives on and looks even more terrifying and gory than ever.

Contraband

One of the new IP announcements, Contraband is a coop open-world heist game with not a lot more known beyond that.

Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life

In what is the most no brainer crossover of all time, Pirates of the Carribean and Sea of Thieves are crossing over brining Davy Jones to the game.

Battlefield 2042

An extended gameplay Trailer showed the range of vehicles and a scope far beyond what the Battlefield games have strived for in the past including space shuttle launches.

Twelve Minutes

James McAvoy, William Dafoe, and Daisy Ridley lend their vocal talents to this narrative adventure that sees characters trapped in a twelve minute time loop.

Fallout 76 Steel Reign and Expeditions: The Pitt

Fallout 76 has overcome a rough launch to become a fully-featured game in its own right. It will be getting an expansion focused on the Brotherhood of Steel and expeditions in a return to the Pitt.

New Game Pass Titles

A good chunk of Bethesda’s catalog is arriving on Game Pass and it is being joined by the Yakuza franchise.

Psychonauts 2

Raz and the gang are back and looking better than ever in the new trailer for Psychonauts 2.

Elder Scrolls Online

The MMO will bring the Elder Scrolls Universe officially to next gen consoles when it launches as part of Game Pass.

Party Animals

Fall Guys meets Madacasgar in what looks to be the most adorable game to come to a video game console since Nintendogs. Oh and it is coming to Game Pass.

Hades

August 13th, 2021 will see my personal Game of the Year arrive on Xbox consoles looking better than ever.

Somerville

In what was the most haunting trailer of the show, Somerville offered a compelling look at a family trying to survive. Most importantly, you are trying to keep your family dog alive. Don’t kill the dog.

Halo Infinite

Bonnie Ross was on hand to announce that Halo Infinite multiplayer will be free to play. This accompanied a first look at the multiplayer, and a story trailer that showed off a replacement Cortana.

Diablo 2

One of the bigger surprises of the show was Blizzard making an appearance and bringing with them Diablo 2.

A Plague Tale Requiem

How many rats? More. More. MOREEEEEE.

Far Cry 6

Ubisoft would probably have benefited from having some of this gameplay footage at their show yesterday, but  the more Giancarlo Esposito we can get the better.

Slime Rancher 2

The sequel to the 2016 surprise hit will bring even more slimes into your life.

Shredders

Extreme sports have been gone for a long time. Shredders says enough of that nonsense.

Atomic Heart

Atomic Heart wins the award for the game that most looks like a Half Life game without being a Half Life game.

Replaced

Dripping in style comes Replaced which showcases a filthy sci-fi noir aesthetic that would make Blade Runner proud.

Grounded: Shroom and Doom

Not only is Grounded getting psychedelic mushrooms, but it is also getting spiders. Giant spiders.

Among Us

The smash streaming hit is coming to Xbox Game Pass with 15 player lobbies to provide more opportunities to lie to your friends.

Eluyden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

The charming 2.5D aesthetic of Eiyuden Chronicle was a refreshing breath of fresh air amongst all the high octane trailers shown today. It showed its Secrets of Mana influence in its style.

The Ascent

Hades may be the rogue-like on everyone’s tongues, but Ascent, coming July 29th is gaming to give it a run for its money.

Age of Empires IV

The real-time strategy grandaddy is making a return on October 28th. It comes with more ages and more empires than ever before.

The Outer Worlds 2

It is just a title, folks.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

The surprise was not that Microsoft Flight Simulator was coming to Xbox consoles, but rather that it will be coming with a tie in to the upcoming Top Gun Maverick film. You can ride my tail anytime.

Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5 is heading to Mexico for their latest release and as expected for car games on new generations, it looks very graphically impressive. It will come equipped with a fully voiced campaign as well.

Redfall

Arkane Studios showed off a scifi, fantasy mash up featuring vampires, magic powers, and robot dogs. It looks to be a coop multiplayer shooter.
