It’s the same for the highly-popular app Whatsapp, as it will cease to function for some phones in 2021.

Although the instant messaging app will continue to be running on Android devices with operating system 4.0.3 or later and iPhones with iOS 9 or later, you should remember the list of phones that will disappear from the list of WhatsApp-compatible gadgets in 2021:

Facebook aims that for the near future it shall unify all of its messaging platforms into a single entity. Therefore, users will be able to check all of their discussions from Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp by opening an available app.
