Best PC Build for 4K Gaming Under Rs. 1 Lakh: January 2021

Given how the computer hardware market is a nightmare situation currently, choosing the right components for your PC Build for 4K Gaming can be quite stressful. But you need not worry because we are here to browse the marketplaces and put together an optimal build for you under a modestly high budget of Rs. 1 lakh.

Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550M

  • Socket: AM4
  • Chipset: B550
  • Memory: upto 128GB
  • HDMI, DVI-D, D-sub Ports for Multiple Displays
  • 3 Year Warranty

The ASUS Prime B550M is one of the newer boards with the B500 chipset. It is a slight upgrade over the B450 boards, but I’ve gone with this one simply for upgradability. If you are living outside India, check for the X570 boards (which should be the same price at the B500 boards).

These boards aren’t my favourite thing, given as they are basically the X570 boards without a few extra features; but since the latter cost twice as much, they are the best option as of right now. The X570 boards also have better VRM cooling, but this one should be more than enough for our build.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X

  • Cores/Threads: 6/12
  • Base Clock: 3.8 GHz
  • Boost Clock: 4.4 GHz
  • TDP: 65W

AMD’s Ryzen 5 3600X offers excellent Performance without completely breaking the bank. For gaming, there isn’t a better valued processor out there (that you can buy). The 5600X comes in at only around 2K more than the 3600X, but sadly, it’s not available to buy, at least at that price. And, while the 5600X is probably the best processor you can get for your PC build for 4K gaming, the 3600X is no slouch either. It can easily handle 4K 60 and 1440p 144 FPS without breaking a sweat.

Memory: G.SKILL Sniper X 2x8GB

  • 2x8GB Memory Module
  • Frequency: 3600MHz
  • Latency: CL19

To get the best gaming performance out of the 3600X, we have paired it with a G.SKILL SniperX 2x8GB kit. For gaming, 16GB is the sweet spot and anything above that won’t offer a significant boost in performance. Moreover, this kit is fairly low-latency and is also single banded as a slight bonus.

Graphics Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super OC

Memory8GB GDDR6
Core Clock1785 MHz
Cores2560
Mem. Clock14000MHz
Bus Width256-bit
Connectors1 x 8 + 1 x 6-pin
Warranty4 Years

While the brains of a computer are indeed the CPU, I think we can all agree that when it comes to gaming, the GPU is the ‘heart’ of the build. Since the RTX 30 and the RX 6000 series prices are still crazy, we have no option but to opt for an RTX 2070 Super. That said, the 2070 Super is no joke when it comes to gaming performance. It can easily handle anything you throw at it. Although it is based on an older node, it has power to easily last you 3-4 years.

Power Supply: Corsair CV650

  • 650W 80 Plus Bronze Rated
  • Warranty: 3 Years

The Corsair CV650 is a 650W Bronze rated PSU that comes with a 3 year warranty. Not the best thing you can get, sure; but it will get the job done. The CX 650 is a slightly better unit but people have encountered issues with it in the past, so I’ve refrained from using it in this build.

Storage: Corsair Force Series MP510

  • Form Factor: M.2
  • Interface: PCIe 3.0
  • Max Sequential Read: 3,480MB/s
  • Max Sequential Write: 2,000MB/s

With the the MP510, you get lightning fast storage and some of the lowest load times in games. With more and more games optimizing for fast storage, soon your games will start loading even faster. While it’s not PCIe 4.0, it’s future proof.

Case: Corsair Carbide SPEC-05

Cases are a personal preference. So you choose whichever one suits you the best.

Gaming PC Build Under Rs. 1 Lakh

This is the best PC build for 4K gaming that you can get right now. While it doesn’t have any super high-end components, but it can play pretty much anything you throw at it. Yes, even poorly optimized games. The sum total of all the components adds up to just slightly over the 1 Lakh mark. If you have 10-15K more to burn, get a 3070 for the GPU. We will be posting more guides soon.

If you are on a lesser budget, you can check out our PC Build under 40,000 INR.
