AMD Zen 2 Matisse Refresh CPU Benchmarks Leaked

We have already covered the initial leaks of the new Zen 2 Refresh CPUs here. Now, we have more news to report on those CPUs. As expected the new parts outperform the Desktop Comet Lake chips in the single-core tests while clocking 500MHz lower, owing to Zen 2’s higher IPC.

The bench was reported by CPU-monkey which is basically a database containing various CPUs and its performance metrics. And the site even mentions that these numbers are based on pre-release or engineering samples. So as usual a pinch of salt is in order.

The coveted single-threaded benchmark crown that has always evaded AMD has finally been nabbed if these leaks are to be believed. The new Ryzen 9 3900XT scores 542 points in Cinebench R20 which beats 539 points scored by Intel’s i9-10900K. Both the Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 5 3600XT are trailing behind at 531 points each.

The Leaked Cinebench Scores

The tides turn for Intel in the Cinebench R15 as the i7-10900K manages to top the list with 234 points while the Ryzen 9 3900XT returns a score of 226. But AMD manages to score a win with the lower-end Ryzen 5 3600XT with 217 points edging out the i5-10600K’s 215 points.

The leaked Cinebench numbers

When it comes to the multi-threaded performance its quite obvious who is going to come on top. We are going to list it anyway, the Ryzen 9 3900XT scores 7479 points which is a 16% increase over the i9-10900K’s 6399 points. The Ryzen 7 3800XT however manages to tie with the i7-10700K while the Ryzen 5 3600XT is 10% faster than the i5-10600K.

Interestingly enough the CPU-monkey website also lists both the single-core and all-core boost clock speeds. And suffice to say it is rather impressive to see the all-core boost clocks speeds and if true this would mean the move to TSMC for Zen 2 was worth it.
