Vivo X30 series with Exynos 980 SoC, 64MP primary camera launched

Vivo has today organized an event in China, where it launched its much-awaited Vivo X30 series. The new series includes two smartphones dubbed as Vivo X30 5G and X30 Pro 5G respectively. However, both of the devices share nearly identical specifications and appearance, but still, there are some differences. As always, the company highlights the camera department.

Vivo X30 5G vs X30 Pro 5G Specifications

Starting with the camera, standard Vivo X30 brings three cameras at the rear. The primary one is a 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor combined with 8MP ultra-wide and 32MP snapper for portrait shots. On the other hand, Vivo X30 Pro gets an additional 13MP periscope lens to achieve insane 60x digital zoom as the company previously highlighted. The rest of the optics arrangement is similar to Vivo X30. Overall, X30 Pro has a quad-camera setup in comparison to triple found on standard Vivo X30.

Moreover, both phones include 32MP, f/2.45 aperture punch-hole style selfie camera. Both the devices are powered by the newly-launched Exynos 980 chipset by making it first smartphone to hold that chip under the hood. The Exynos 980 chipset uses the latest 2x Cortex-A77 cores clocked @2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores @1.8GHz. The GPU is Mali-G76 to handle the graphics-intensive task. The chipset also supports the integrated 5G modem to achieve up to 2.55Gbps download and 1.28Gbps upload speeds under the sub-6 5G spectrum.

Vivo X30 Pro

Moving further, both Vivo X30 and X30 Pro pack 4320 mAh non-removable battery with 33W fast charging support. The good thing is that the fast charger is supplied inside the box. So, you don’t need to pay additional money in order to enjoy fast charging. These devices run on Android 9 Pie, which is based on the latest Funtouch OS 10 custom skin. Regarding the storage, there are multiple storage variants with 128GB / 256GB of internal storage paired with 8GB RAM. All the essential connectivity options are present on both devices. These devices also include an in-display fingerprint sensor and FaceWake features to unlock the device safely.
