To better understand, here’s how each volume setting on your device affects sound output on your AirPods Pro:

• Media Volume – this setting only sets the volume of media (music, video, etc) you are playing. This can be controlled using the Volume keys. 
• Sound & Haptics – the alert volume on your iPhone/iPad only affects the notification volume played through the speakers. 
• Tone Volume – this adjusts the volume of sound effects played on your AirPods.

Adjusting Your AirPods Pro’s Tone Volume

If you are annoyed with the loud low battery notification sound, you need to adjust your AirPods’ tone volume. 

Here’s what you need to do: 

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad. 
2. Now, go to Accessibility > AirPods. 
3. Under Tone Volume, adjust the slider to the left to lower the alert volume. 

Adjusting Siri’s Volume on Your AirPods

The media volume doesn’t affect Siri’s volume as well. If you find Siri’s volume too low or loud when using your AirPods, you can adjust it by doing the following: 

1. Connect your AirPods Pro and wear them. 
2. Say “Hey Siri” to activate it. You can also double-tap on your AirPod to trigger Siri. 

3. Now, say: 

• Speak Louder – to raise Siri’s volume. 
• Speak Lower – to lower Siri’s volume. 

Turn Off Charging Case Sound

The MagSafe charging case for your AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) plays a sound when it starts charging or when the battery is low. 

If you don’t want the charging case to play a sound, you can turn it off by doing the following: 

1. With your AirPods in your ears and connected, go to the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad. 
2. Tap on your AirPods. 
3. Find the Enable Charging Case Sounds and disable it. 

Volume Key Workaround

If adjusting the tone volume did not lower your AirPods Pro’s low battery notification sound, you can try this workaround. 

This solution is confirmed to work for loud notifications, but it should also work for low-battery alerts. 

Here’s what you need to do: 

1. Connect your AirPods and use them regularly. 
2. Monitor the charge level and wait for it to reach 20%. 
3. Once the low battery alert plays, quickly unlock your iPhone. 
4. Press the Volume Down key while the alert is playing.
