1. Check for Bluetooth Connection Conflicts.

We know that this is very basic but a lot of people tend to forget the simplest things. Bluetooth enabled devices such as earphones, speakers, and digital car systems cannot support more than one iPhone at the same time. So make sure to disable the Bluetooth service of other devices, especially other Apple iPhones.

It is also known that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth use the same frequency. This means that you also have to disable Wi-Fi enabled devices around you when you’re using Bluetooth. If you are using the Bluetooth on your iPhone. Hence, make sure you turn off the Wi-Fi connection.

It is also a good idea to check for any physical interference that affects your Bluetooth connectivity. Now that you have removed the conflict, you can now enjoy a stable Bluetooth connection. But if the connection still keeps on dropping, you can proceed to the next method.

2. Check for Application Settings Conflict.

You can also check for the conflict settings of your iPhone. Currently. it might not be working correctly due to system bugs. There will come a time that consumers will have to wait for the developers to pinpoint the bug and resolve it. But until then, you can at least work around it for now.

The Sync option is one of the notable Bluetooth settings that have a conflict with your connectivity. For now, you need to disable it in your Bluetooth settings.

Here’s how you do it on your iPhone:

  1. First and foremost go into your Settings app and then tap on Bluetooth.

  1. Choose the name of the device in the Bluetooth list and tap the corresponding ( i ) icon.

Another setting that your Bluetooth is having issues with handling the list of Bluetooth devices. It might be that the automatic name generated for a certain Bluetooth device is the same as the others. To make sure that there’s no conflict, you need to change the name of the Bluetooth accessory. But you can only do this to some accessories.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Turn on your Bluetooth accessory and connect it to your iPhone.
  2. Go to Settings, then tap Bluetooth.
  3. Choose and tap the ( i ) button of the Bluetooth accessory that you change, and then tap Name.

If you are worried that you won’t be able to use these features on your iPhone, then don’t be. Once the Apple developers have fixed the Bluetooth bug and release an update then it would be possible to reenable these features again simply by following the above steps and then reenabling it.

Now that you have made sure that there’s no conflict, you may now use your Bluetooth with no issues.

You can always track the update notes on the Apple website. There you can find the latest updates including the summary of the bugs they have fixed. The issues on your iPhone 11 may have been included in the bug fix so make sure that you have the latest version. In reference provided by Apple Support, here’s how you can do it:

Bugs are normal when it comes to software and applications. The bugs also vary on what type of hardware or system is used and paired with. For instance, say if you tried to pair your iPhone 11 with the car system on your Toyota and was successfully fixed on the latest update. However, there’s a possibility that the fix might not work on your BMW iDrive system.

If this happens, you can always file a bug report on Apple Support. You will be helping a lot by providing the information they needed to fix the issue including the hardware involve. Now that you have updated your iOS to the latest version, let’s hope that the Bluetooth bug has been fixed. But if you are still experiencing the issue, proceed to the next method.

4. Turn Off Bluetooth and Restart the iPhone.

After all the methods you tried above, your iPhone may need to be refreshed. This can flush out old data from the RAM of your device and also load the new data from the update. In order to do that, you must first turn off the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone. Here’s how you can do it:

Now that you have refreshed your iPhone, you are now using the updated data on your iPhone. But if the issue is still happening when you use your Bluetooth connection, you can proceed to the next method.

5. Forget Bluetooth Device and Pair Again.

There is also a possibility that your current Bluetooth connectivity profile might not work properly because of the update process. To make sure that your iPhone and Bluetooth enabled device has the updated pairing data, you need to delete the old one. After that, you can pair both devices again to ensure the updated connectivity profile is in place. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Unpair your Bluetooth accessory by tapping Settings, then Bluetooth.

  1. In the list of devices, choose the device you want to un-pair and tap the ( i ) button.

  1. Then tap Forget this Device. This will remove the accessory from the Bluetooth device list and all its data.

  1. If your Bluetooth accessory has a list of paired devices, delete your iPhone from the list as well. This procedure is applicable with your car’s digital infotainment system and other manageable Bluetooth devices.
  2. Enable the Discovery mode on your Bluetooth accessory which can usually be pressed on the Sync button on the headset or on your car’s infotainment system. Wait for it to appear on your iPhone. If you don’t know how to do it, check the manual of your accessory on how to do it.
  3. To pair it back to your iPhone, tap the Accessory name when it appears on the screen. Provide the PIN or passkey if applicable. Check the accessory manual if you don’t know this information.

Now that you have a new connection profile of your paired devices, you can now use it with no history of past issues. But if the problem still persists, you can proceed to the next method.

6. Reset Your iPhone 11’s Network Settings.

If there is an error happening in the Network module level, you can reset that part of the device settings without affecting the overall device settings. Since Bluetooth is part of the Network module, you can reset it in default factory values. That means it will also reset all Network related profiles such as Wi-Fi and VPN services. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone, then tap General
  2. Next, tap Reset.
  3. Find and tap Reset Network Settings.

  1. Lastly, provide your device passcode if applicable and then Confirm the process.

Once you have wiped out all iPhone 11’s network settings, you can start pairing your Bluetooth device again. It should work like a freshly paired device. But if the Bluetooth connection still continues to have the same issue, you can proceed to the next method.

7. Reset to Factory Defaults and Setup as New.

When there is an untraceable conflict within the device, it is best to reset the iOS to its default factory state. By doing this, you will wipe all your data including the ones that are causing the error. But before doing this, make sure you back up all your data so you can have it restored after the process. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Go to Settings and then General.
  2. Next, tap on Reset.

  1. Choose and tap Erase All Content and Settings option.

  1. You will be prompted to create a backup and then erase the device or erase it right away. If you’ve already backed up your iPhone 11, then simply select Erase Now.
  2. Next, enter your iPhone 11’s passcode for confirmation.
  3. You will now have to wait for the Apple logo to show and to finish the reset process.
  4. Once after the reboot process is done, wait for the screen to show the usual Hello message.

  1. After that, you can use and set up your iPhone 11 as new.
  2. If your Bluetooth enabled device has a list of paired devices, delete your iPhone from the list. This procedure is applicable for your car’s infotainment system (varies between models) and other manageable Bluetooth devices.
  3. Lastly, simply pair your Bluetooth enabled device with your iPhone 11 once again. If you’re unsure of how to pair a Bluetooth device to an iPhone, then you can refer to Apple’s simplistic guide on how to pair your Bluetooth device to iPhone.

Now that you have a fresh set of iPhone settings that work just as you first got it, all the possible software conflicts that may have been inside should have been removed. You can restore your data from backup after you have tested the consistency of the Bluetooth connectivity. If the issue still persists, you can proceed to the next method.

8. Reach Out to Apple.

After the software troubleshooting steps, you can go to the nearest Apple store so you can have the Apple-certified technicians to check the hardware part.

Make sure you check the warranty status of your iPhone before going there. If they replace your iPhone with a new one, make sure that it does not have the same issue as your previous phone before you leave.

If you are having trouble looking for an Apple store in your area, you must check the available support options in your country.

But if you cannot find an Apple certified technician in your area, you can make an appointment or request service online. You can send them your iPhone through a courier instead. They will notify you if they are done fixing it or you can check for the status of the repair.

Before we close out our guide, some unauthorized personnel might take advantage of this issue and call you. If in doubt, never disclose any of your personal information or install non-certified Apple repair software.
