What’ Next? Realme Smart Phones and TVs

After the massive success of Realme smartphones in Indian markets, the company is all set to extend its reach by launching smartwatches and television.

The company is aiming to diversify its portfolio from a mobile manufacturer to a tech giant in the Indian Market. Its focus is to develop itself as a “lifestyle tech” company providing stylish new gadgets at nominal rates.

Realme Smart Watches with Cricket Tracker

Up first is the Realme Watch, a 1.4-inch 320×320 LCD display with Android color touch screen display and 7-9 days battery life. Apart from the usual smartwatch features, the watch can monitor sleep, heart rate, and has removable bands. The USP of the watch however is the cricket tracking feature that is bound to attract Indians.

Smart TV’s for Indian Audience

With the predetermined aim of selling one million TV’s by December 2020, Realme will launch its first Smart TV in June. The company has introduced smart TVs in two screen sizes — 32-inch display (Rs 12,999) and 43-inch display (Rs 21,999). Realme will also introduce a 55-inch version by year-end.

The Make in India Factor

The COVID 19 pandemic has delayed the company’s plans to start manufacturing locally but local manufacturing units will be set up under the ‘Make in India’ scheme to reduce imports in the country.

New Smartphones During Lockdown

With online deliveries resuming, Realme has taken a huge risk by launching X3 SuperZoom on May 26th in India. The smartphone has Snapdragon 855+ and 12 GM RAM, 120 Hz display, 4200 mAh battery, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

Showstopper Camera

A quad camera with a primary 64 MP primary camera, an 8 MP telephoto lens, 5X optical, and 60X digital zoom.  A new Zoom and Starry mode update is also available on the device.

Realme has already launched wireless earphones, Buds Air Nero at Rs. 2999 on May 25th, a day before its launch in Europe.

Realme’s foray has brought some serious competition to leading market giants like Xiaomi, Samsung and LG. Bold steps taken by Realme is just another example of how important India is as a market. Competitive pricing will only make gadgets cheaper and affordable to the common man.
