IT House July 21 news, Microsoft today released the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25163 version to the Windows Development Channel, bringing some new features, including a new “taskbar overflow experience” and some improvements in file sharing. As we all know, with the release of Win11, the Windows taskbar has also undergone a redo, but there are also some classic functions that have not been developed in a hurry.

Microsoft has now announced that it is reintroducing the “taskbar overflow” feature and bringing a new design experience to Windows 11. Microsoft says this taskbar design has been carefully considered to give you a more productive multitasking experience when taskbar space is limited.

As shown in the figure below, when your taskbar can no longer hold more task labels, it will automatically put the extra programs into the new taskbar overflow status bar. In this state, you can view all the programs that can’t fit in a small window through the overflow menu entry of the taskbar, which is “・・・”.

Of course, the overflow menu also supports the familiar taskbar behavior, whether it’s pinning apps, jump lists, or extending the UI. When this function is invoked, the overflow menu will silently close itself once the user clicks outside the menu or switches to an app.

This feature has appeared in the just-released beta version, you can use UDP to share files from to another device, and the Bluetooth sharing function has also been enhanced. Your computer can now be discovered and shared to more devices, including desktop computers.

Plus, you can share files via OneDrive or back up directly to a cloud drive. Of course, this feature is currently only available for Microsoft accounts, but Microsoft has also said that support for AAD will also be provided in the future.

• Fixed an issue where File Explorer preview thumbnails in taskbar, ALT+Tab, and task view could show the title of an adjacent tab instead of the current tab.

• If “Show All Folders” is enabled, the separators in the Navigation Pane of File Explorer will no longer be displayed. This update should also fix an issue where delimiters were unexpectedly displayed in other folder choosers.

• Fixed an issue where VoiceOver would not speak the title of the label when the focus was past the label.

• Fixed a bug where a closed tab could reappear in File Explorer after you dragged File Explorer across your display.

• Fixed an issue where the Add New Tab button was not clearly visible when using the Aquatic or Desert contrasting themes.

• The add new tab button should not overlap the minimize button in the title bar when using a large number of tabs to open the text zoom.
