Ever since electric scooters have made great progress, they have moved into a separate category of vehicles. Previously, they did not go fast and not far, but now a lot has changed, and traveling tens of kilometers on a single charge at a speed of more than 20 kilometers per hour is a fairly simple task. Everyone who works for us has already tried it, but I was instructed to write a review, because I used it the most when I traveled from the office to the train on which I left home. And that’s what we have in the face of this scooter.

Our scooter is called Hiper Voyager MX4. This line looks very stylish and concise. She doesn’t show off the various elements of her appearance, but rather, on the contrary, hides a lot of what could be shown. For example, the rear brake disc is very neatly inscribed in the dimensions of the wheel, pressed against it and almost does not stick out. And the caliper is related as much as possible to the frame to be more concise.
And this combination of premium and conciseness is felt in everything. What is the deck made of eco-leather worth. It gets dirty like any other material, but it is very easy to clean. And even though we didn’t take care of this scooter, there is not a single scratch on the foot surface.

How far can you ride on an electric scooter
A rather impressive battery (10.4 Ah / 36 V / 375 Wh) is built in from the bottom, which is fully charged in 8.5 hours. But this is normal, given that on a single charge you can drive more than 30 kilometers. I didn’t stress test to zero the battery, but it gave out about 25-27 kilometers in total – this is more than enough for a city dweller.
There is a hole at the bottom of the deck for charging. To protect against water, it can be plugged with a special rubber band. The battery itself is not removable, which means you need an outlet where you store your scooter. Or just once every few days, depending on the load, roll it up into the corridor at night to charge it.

Is it comfortable to carry a folded scooter
The Hiper Voyager MX 4 folds very comfortably. To do this, flip the lock fuse at the bottom of the steering column, and then lower the lock lever down. After that, just lower the steering wheel down and snap it into place in the rear wheel area. The whole procedure takes 5-6 seconds.
It is easy to carry it not only due to its low weight, but excellent weight distribution helps in this. You can take a folded scooter almost by the middle. But, for example, if you carry it in the trunk, then the steering wheel lock to the rear will have to be unfastened – it will not be able to remain latched if the scooter is lying down. Solution: rest it on a footrest, but this is suitable for placing on the ground or on the floor in public transport. In the car, it can fall during maneuvers.

How to drive the Hiper Voyager MX 4 electric scooter
The controls are as simple and intuitive as possible. On the left is a mechanical brake. When pressed lightly, it slows down due to the electrical component. When strong, the rear disc brake is activated. In both cases, the brake light comes on. There is also a bell on the left to give a signal. On the right – only the acceleration handle under the thumb. In the center is an on-board computer with a single button. It allows you to turn on / off the scooter, change the mode of operation, switch units of measurement and turn on / off the rather bright headlight in the front.

Before talking about the movement on Hiper Voyager MX4, it is worth noting its large wheels. Let some make them even bigger, but these are tractor-like SUVs, not scooters. Everything here, as I wrote above, is very concise.

The Hiper Voyager MX 4 rides very gently and can carry up to 120 kilograms of weight. True, the greater the weight, the greater the energy consumption and the slower the scooter will accelerate – this is physics. But the difference is not so significant thanks to the 350W motor built into the front wheel. You can even ride it uphill. Claimed angle of elevation is 15 degrees. In practice, I had something similar, and Hiper Voyager MX 4 coped.
The design can withstand up to 120 kilograms. Even large people will pass with a margin.
There are no built-in shock absorbers in the design, but this is also an element of style and minimalism. However, a fairly high level of softness during movement is ensured by the fact that the wheels are not only large, but also inflatable. As a result, hitting a branch or a small curb feels sharper than on a scooter with a telescopic suspension fork, but tile joints feel the same or even less when compared with popular rental scooters.
Since the mechanical brake is only on the rear wheel, sometimes it seems that its effectiveness is not so high, but even with a maximum speed of 23-25 kilometers per hour, the scooter stops in just a few meters. Apparently, the help of the electric brake component on the front wheel is affecting.

To make it easier to limit yourself in speed, you can set three driving modes. Each of them will have its own limitation. So you can not follow the speed, but constantly keep the lever pressed, but not accelerate very quickly. Additional settings can be found in the Hiper IoT app, including monitoring multiple metrics, setting options, error analysis, and more. Communication with the phone is via Bluetooth.

An interesting feature of the scooter is that it can be controlled via a mobile application (connection via built-in Bluetooth). By downloading Hiper IoT from the APP Store or Google Play, you can customize some settings. Among them are the following:
- headlight on/off
- scooter lock
- view location on map
- choice of driving mode and speed limit (12, 20 or 25 km/h)
- enable/disable cruise control (when pressing the accelerator stick for 5 seconds, the speed is fixed and can be released)
- standing start mode so that the scooter starts immediately or only after pushing off
- choice of measurement units (kilometers or miles per hour)
- battery voltage control
- view speed, mileage from start, average speed from start, total mileage and days of use since trip computer reset
The scooter connects to the application automatically and allows you to view information and control yourself.
You can adjust the operation of cruise control, speed limit, start from a place and other parameters.
The nice thing is that you will not have any difficulties with connecting. It is enough to turn on the scooter, open the application, press ”+” and you will see a plate with a suggestion to connect a new gadget.
Should I buy an electric scooter Hiper Voyager MX 4
Can this scooter be called a city scooter? Yes. Is it popular? Judging by the relatively low price, yes. Let it not allow you to fully ride off-road, but it will be possible to drive down the path or jump off the curb on it. However, jumping should not be abused, especially if you weigh more than 80 kilograms. This is just physics, and electric scooters are not designed for this.
