The developer’s name Rogue Factor and hails from Canada, so far the team has attracted attention through Necromunda: Underhive Wars and Mordheim: City of the Damned. The studio was recently taken over by Nacon – and even the first title after the acquisition promises to be extremely interesting. Hell is Us is an action-adventure game with a semi-open world; in the trailer we see flying drones and a very big sword.

According to Rogue Factor, it’s about a country devastated by civil war and a hero who wants to learn more about his own past. Supernatural creatures, reminiscent of old grave monuments, frighten the citizens – and of course the main character should intervene properly. Creative Director Jacques-Belletête: “Our goal with Hell is Us is to bring back the sense of adventure and discovery. It doesn’t require a detailed quest log or precise waypoints on the map. We want players to feel the thrill of adventure and feel be guided by their instincts.”

Of course, these are just typical PR phrases from a developer who is unquestionably impressed by his baby. But somehow we find the first trailer for the game pretty cool and atmospheric. What do you think?
