Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to Come with A New 200MP Camera Sensor

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to debut with a 200MP camera sensor. Over the last few months, Samsung has introduced two 200MP camera sensors for smartphones, and according to the popular leak star ice universe, the third one will make it to the Galaxy S23 ultra. It is expected to be named ISOCELL HP2 even though we already have the ISOCELL HP3 already in existence.

ISOCELL HP1 was the first 200MP sensor and it is expected to be officially released on a Motorola smartphone this august. There have been growing rumours that the S23 Ultra will debut with a 200MP camera even though we are months away from the official release.

The HP2 sensor will be reserved for only the flagship Galaxy S series while the HP1 and HP3 200MP camera sensors will be made available for the A series devices as well as some Chinese smartphone brands. There are no full details about the specs of the HP2 sensor but it will surely improve the overall image quality of the Samsung flagship.

It will be expected to perform better in low light since the sensor is a bit bigger. According to rumours, only the 200MP camera will be upgraded, but the 10MP telephoto and periscope lens will remain the same. There will also be a 12MP ultrawide lens to complete the rear cameras of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2023, but the most important event for Samsung right now is the Galaxy Unpacked event slated for the 10th of August. Stay tuned for more Samsung mobile news.
