The World’s Most Popular Music Streaming Services Have Been Revealed
According to new study, Apple Music accounts for 15% of the worldwide music streaming industry, trailing streaming powerhouse Spotify, which controls more than 30%.

According to new MIDiA study, Apple Music is the second-most popular music streaming service. The Cupertino-based tech behemoth serves 15% of the world’s almost 524 million listeners.
Spotify retains the top rank with a 31 percent share in 2021, albeit this is a decrease from 33 percent in 2020. Amazon Music and Tencent Music each have a 13% market share, while YouTube Music has 8% of global subscribers.
According to the estimate, the global base will have increased by 109.5 million by the end of Q2 2021, representing a year-over-year increase of more than 26 percent.
Global streaming is increasing, owing largely to COVID-19 boredom. On-demand music streaming services such as Apple Music and Spotify grew 16.2 percent globally in 2020 compared to 2019.
