Infinix Hot 6X Vs Infinix Hot 6: is it worth the upgrade?
The Infinix Hot 6 came as a successor to the Infinix Hot 5 packing some major improvements over its predecessor. Not long after, the Infinix Hot 6X, another variant of the Infinix Hot 6 arrived with a taller 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch. We will be taking a look at both specifications to find out what their differences, as well as similarities, are, and most importantly, find out if it is actually worth the upgrade.

Infinix Hot 6X comes with a more trendy and recent look, thanks to the new 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch compared to the 18:9 on the Infinix Hot 6. Screen size has also gone up from the 6-inch TFT LCD display on the Infinix Hot 6 to 6.2-inch IPS LCD display on the Infinix Hot 6X.
Infinix Hot 6’s screen resolution stands at 1440 X 720 pixels while the Hot 6X is higher at 1500 x 720 pixels. Both devices weigh 168 grams and features a dual Nano SIM slot with a Micro SD card for storage expansion. Infinix Hot 6X comes in colours blue, black, gold and red while the Infinix Hot 6 comes in colours Bordeaux Red, City Blue, Magic Gold and Sandstone Black.

Both devices feature the same Snapdragon 425 chipset-an octa-core processor with a 1.4GHz clock speed. There is also an Adreno 308 GPU on both devices for gaming. Infinix Hot 6 has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage while the Hot 6X has two options of either a 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage or a 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage. Storage can also be expanded on both devices with the available MicroSD card slot to up 128GB. Both devices run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Infinix’s XOS 3.3 hummingbird skin on top so both devices user interface should pretty much look a lot alike.

At the back, both devices have a dual camera setup of 13MP + 2MP. However, Hot 6 has a dual-LED flash while Hot 6X has a single LED flash. The camera on the front is different with the Hot 6 sporting a 5MP camera while the Hot 6X takes it up a notch higher (pun intended) with 8MP front-facing camera. There also an LED flash on both front facing camera.
Battery capacity on both smartphones is also the same with a 4,000mAh on both with fast battery charging. Other features of both devices include 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi, WiFi direct, WiFi Hotspot, Micro USB 2.0 port and USB on the go.

Infinix hot 6X Vs Infinix Hot 6 – Price & Conclusion
Price also remains the same here with a price range of about N36,000 – N50,000 for each. Personally, there aren’t any major difference between the two devices and if you already have the Hot 6 then there is no need to upgrade. If you’re looking for which to buy out of the two then it boils down to if you like the notch or not. For me? I’m a proud notch hater and will definitely go for the Hot 6 but hey, that’s just me.
