You Need to Know Everything About Today’s PSL 2019 Draft

However, a few days ago, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that a draft of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be held today on November 20, 2018.

Thus, this rule for PSL 2019 is slightly different from the previous year. Therefore, over the last few years, the team has had the option to have a certain number of players in each category. PSL Draft  2019 Guide

A total of 663 players, including domestic and international athletes, can use it in drafts. The prices for each category are as follows.

Platinum Category — $570,000 (Rs. 76 million)

  • Base price: $ 160,000
  • Maximum price: $ 250,000
  • Each team has three players to choose from in this category with no more than two players from either the region or the foreigners.

Diamond Category — $250,000 (Rs. 33.6 million)

  • Base price: $ 80,000
  • Maximum price: $ 100,000
  • Teams can choose 3 players in this category.

Gold Category — $180,000 (Rs. 24.1 million)

  • Base price: $ 50,000
  • Maximum price: $ 70,000
  • A total of three players can be selected for each franchise.

Silver Category — $140,000 (Rs. 18.8 million)

  • Base price: $ 24,000
  • Maximum price: $ 40,000
  • Franchise can choose five players in this category

Emerging Category — $25,000 (Rs. 3.3 million)

  • Two new players can be purchased for a total of $ 25,000 for each team for $ 12,000 and $ 13,000 respectively.

Supplement Category — $175,000 (Rs. 23.5 million)

  • Each franchise has the option of purchasing up to four additional players and purchasing a total of $ 175,000. All rounds are a regular member of the squad. There are no minimum or maximum salaries in this category.

There Is No Longer A Multan Sultan!

As previously reported, Multan Sultan’s 8-year ownership was terminated by the PCB after the franchise did not pay an annual fee of $ 5.2 million.

Eventually, instead of removing the team from the 2019 PSL, the PCB will own the ownership again and sell the franchise before the start of next year PSL.

However, the new owner can choose the name and city of the franchise. Specifically, the Board of Directors can fully control the operations, players and coaching contracts to be delivered to the next owner.
