What is a Flat Earth Theory

About

The belief that the Earth is flat and Flat Earth Theory is an ultimate conspiracy theory.  According to the Flat Earth Society’s leadership, its ranks have grown by 200 people (mostly Americans and Britons) per year since 2009. They are investing their ideas and thoughts by posting on website, twitter and social media. These people believe that the Earth is flat.

Flat Earth Theory is a hypothesis stated that there is no true evidence that the earth is round. This hypothesis is often dismissed as a weak, easily disproved theory.

                                                                     By  Samuel Rowbotham

Origin

People have believed that the Earth is flat since the beginning of humanity. an experiment called the Bedford Level Experiment drive the Modern Flat Earth hypothesis, conducted in the mid-1800s by a man named Samuel Rowbotham (1816-1884). He wrote a book named Earth Not a Globe, started the modern movement by debating scientists publicly and accumulating followers. In the experiment, Rowbowtham observed the curvature of the earth by observing a local river. He disapproved the theory of a round earth. but later on scientists have said that the results he obtained could be accounted for by the parallax effect.

In 1956, Samuel Shenton present a more modern version of the Flat Earth Society. Shenton claimed that the images taken from space were false. In the 1970s and 1980s, they released a newsletter called the Flat Earth News, which often debated NASA and other space agencies.

The Flat Earth society published a magazine, The Earth Not a Globe Review, and remained active well into the early 20th century. Later on a flat Earth journal, Earth: A Monthly Magazine of Sense and Science, was published between 1901–1904.

International Flat Earth Theory

In 1956,Samuel Shenton created the International Flat Earth Research Society as a successor to the Universal Zetetic Society, running it as “organising secretary” . This book was more for the  science and technology, After seeing the images taken from satellite that Earth is Sphere, Shenton remarked: “It’s easy to see how a photograph like that could fool the untrained eye”.

What is a Flat Earth Theory

In 1969, Shenton persuaded Ellis, a  lecturer, to become president of the Flat Earth Society who added most of Shenton’s library to the archives of the Science and Fiction. After the death of Shenton Johnson was the man who took it further to investigate.

Historical accounts and spoken history tell us the Land part may have been square, all in one mass at one time, then as now, the magnetic north being the Centre. Vast cataclysmic events and shaking no doubt broke the land apart, divided the Land to be our present continents or islands as they exist today. One thing we know for sure about this world…the known inhabited world is Flat, Level, a Plain World.Flyer written by Charles K. Johnson, 1984.

The most recent model presented by Modern Flat Flat Earth is that humanity lives on a disc, with the North Pole at its centre and a 150-foot (45 m) high wall of ice, Antarctica is at the outer edge.

Flat Earth Society speaking against US Government and all its agencies specially NASA.Much of the society’s literature in its early days focused on interpreting The Bible to mean that the Earth is flat, although they did try to offer scientific explanations and evidence.

Still the research is going on to solve this mystery. 2017 was a bright year for flat earth theory.
