1. Refresh or Reload the page

The primary fix that can be applied once the err_cache_miss appears while browsing the page is to refresh the page. Simply reload the page by clicking the refresh button on your Chrome browser and check whether the err_cache_miss notification disappeared.

2. Temporarily Disable the Browser Caching

Another option to fix the err_cache_miss issue on Chrome is temporarily disabling the browser cache. Temporarily disable the cache and check whether the issue is resolved. To disable the browser cache, go to the menu option on Chrome browser. Then click on More Tools. Then select Developer Tools from that list.

Now you will see developer windows on your screen; then, from the tab area, select the Network option, and you will find Disable cache check box. Select the option, and the caching will be disabled now.

3. Disable Extensions

In some cases, another extension on your browser can create strange issues. So, if that is the case, the best way to debug the problem is by turning off all the chrome extensions on your browser. After that, you can check the webpage to see whether the error appears. Then try enabling each extension one by one. After enabling the extension, you must verify that the error is not happening.

This way, you can find the extension causing the err_cache_miss error and permanently remove or disable that.

Clear Browser Data by Clearing Cache and Cookies

Another option is to clear all the browsing data on the browser by clearing the cache and cookies. To do so, follow the below steps.

Go to the setting section on our Chrome browser. Select the Privacy and Security option from the side menu.

Then click on the Clear browsing data. Then from the windows, select all the browsing data, including Browsing history, Download history, Cookies and other side data, Cached images, and files.

Also, make sure to select the Time range as All time. Finally, click on the Clear data button to remove all the data. By clearing the chrome browser data this, the err_cache_miss issue will be fixed. If that too not help, you can proceed with the next option.

Reinstall the Chrome Browser

If none of the above methods works for you, then the best option is to uninstall the Chrome browser from your device and reinstall it. By doing this, the err_cache_miss issue will be fixed for sure.

If you reinstall the browser, back up all the required data, like the password or browsing history.
