The sow gathers and the Hero of Hyrule is taking it all this year: 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' was crowned as the best game of 2017 in our annual ranking and won comfortably in our readers. And now it is the Japanese creatives and developers themselves who surrender to the work of Nintendo. The most recent issue of the Weekly Famitsu offers its traditional ranking with the 100 best games of this year, a generous list developed by more than a hundred Japanese developers and leading figures in the industry in which the cultural differences between East and West are evident, as well as the unquestionable fun that Link's adventure offers. The list also includes smartphone games, although the majority of titles are proposed consoles and we can even find an interesting addition in the form of hardware. To highlight we can find that 'Super Mario Odyssey', another of the candidates for the games of the year, is in a not insignificant fifth position, while the latest installments of two cult sagas in Japan as 'Dragon Quest' and 'Splatoon' put the pin on the Top 5 together with the essential 'NieR: Automata' Also striking is the appearance of the SNES Classic Mini in the tenth position, while Undertale (released in September 2015) becomes the first game developed in the West one position later. In fact, games like 'Cuphead' or 'Forza Motorsport 7' can be found past the equator of the ranking.
