To highlight we can find that 'Super Mario Odyssey', another of the candidates for the games of the year, is in a not insignificant fifth position, while the latest installments of two cult sagas in Japan as 'Dragon Quest' and 'Splatoon' put the pin on the Top 5 together with the essential 'NieR: Automata' Also striking is the appearance of the SNES Classic Mini in the tenth position, while Undertale (released in September 2015) becomes the first game developed in the West one position later. In fact, games like 'Cuphead' or 'Forza Motorsport 7' can be found past the equator of the ranking. And it is not the only known face: titles like 'Overwatch', 'The Last of Us Remastered' or 'Resident Evil 4' appear scattered throughout the list. As a fact to keep in mind, 'Persona 5', which premiered at the beginning of this year in the West, was considered the best game of 2016, while the 'Splatoon' of Wii U took that privileged honor a year before. What title will occupy that honor next year? Of course, 2018 will start with strong candidates, although we dare to bet that the Top 5 will again be covered with proposals Made In Japan.
