The Korean manufacturer has always given us one of lime and one of sand with the updates in their top-of-the-line phones: sometimes it has been very fast (last year with the LG V20 and the LG G5 were among the first) and other times They have taken longer than we would like. For this year the ration of Android Oreo is doing of begging in the LG G6 and the LG V30 but it seems that soon it will arrive at our terminals. The update to Android 8.0 Oreo will arrive within the range limits of LG but will first debut in Asia. In the case of the LG G6, we are already seeing that its debut in the form of beta is starting in China and in the case of LG V30 has been about a month ago in the same state but for users in its local market: South Korea.
When will we see this version of the devices of our country? We do not know yet.The version of Android 8.0 Oreo for the top of a range of LG will maintain, as we have seen in some images of the beta, the same layer of software that we have already seen in both terminals. The changes will come more inside as for example the new system of notifications that brings the update of the operative system or the shortcuts in the desktop to the style of the Sesame Shortcuts or the deep links that already we saw in his day with Android 7.0 Nougat. In terms of performance, users who are testing the beta of Oreo in the LG G6 claim that it is better than with Nougat and the autonomy of the battery has also improved. A priori is good news because the two terminals have kneed the knee in this section: they are pretty mobile but have a performance below the expected in this category of terminals. It remains to be seen if the Koreans will support Project Treble with this update, something that will help in the future (in theory) to make future software revisions arrive agiler and, who knows, receive Android P in about 12 months. At the moment we are left with this beta and the desire to see it soon here.
