How to Fix YouTube Comments Not Loading

Sign into your Google Account

Though Youtube Comments do not depend on whether you are signed in into your Google account, sometimes being signed in could be a solution to the mentioned issue. Just click the sign in prompt and log into your Google account. If you are already signed in, try to log out and sign in back again.

Reload YouTube

Another way to solve the mentioned issue is by refreshing your YouTube page. This could be done by clicking the semi round arrow icon near your browser’s URL address. You could also right click on the white portion of your YouTube page. Select reload.

View a Different Video

When you are trying to view the comments of a certain video and tried other methods to solve the issue, try to view another video and check if it would display some comments. If you still could not see any comments then there is a possibility that the type of permissions based bug is in play with your current setup. It could also be that the problem is with YouTube itself. If it is only one video where you could not see comments, then it is possible that the video owner has settings where he or she would want to review the comments first before they get posted or has just turned off the posting of comments.

Change Comment Sorting Format

Choose to re-sort comments by choosing either newest first or most popular or most liked comments. By changing the sorting of the comments, you could solve the issue.

Open YouTube in Incognito Mode

There is a possibility that the problem and issue could be with your browser. There are times when you would need to ensure that your browser is up to date. Another issue could be cached data and previous settings. Other aspects could be site data, cookies, extensions and/or plugins. If this is the case, change your browser into Incognito Mode.

Clean Browser Cache

Another method is by cleaning your browser’s cache. You could also perform a hard refresh. You could do this by pressing ctrl +F5 simultaneously.

Disable Browser Extensions

If you disable your browser extension, it is also highly recommended for you to disable your browser’s plugins, extensions and recent ad-ons. By doing these, you could solve the problem of you not being able to view comments.

Clear App Cache and Data

There are times that your Android or iOS devices would experience the same issue. If this happens, we also suggest that you clear your app cache and data and check if the problem would still persist.

Disable Ad Blockers

Ad blockers could cause a lot of issues and problems. Though they are sometimes useful there are times that it could be suspected as spam. Disabling ad blockers could be another way to solve the mentioned issue.

Disable Proxy Setting and VPNs

There are times when VPNs and proxy settings could cause YouTube comment viewing issues. Hence, it is recommended that you disconnect from your VPN connection and proxy settings.

Reset Your Browser

If you think that your browser is really the issue, we highly recommend that you reset your browser. This is similar to restoring your device by factory setting. If you reset your browser will go back to its default state and will be under the initial recommended settings.
