Though there are a lot of things that Samsung Q60 is similar with Samsung Q50R, there are some factors that make them different from each other and they are the following:

  • Q50R was launched in 2019 while Q60 became available on the market in 2021.
  • Q50R works with Bixby and SmartThings while the Q60A works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Smart Things.
  • Prices could also differ a bit. Though they are very similar to each other, Q50R is more affordable and cheaper compared to Q60A.

Why get Samsung’s smallest 4K TV

There are several reasons as to why we highly recommend the TVs mentioned above and one of them is we love the rich vivid colors and how it makes the display and pictures come to life especially with its HDR feature. The colors, brightness and contrast are enhanced. Though this is the case, always keep in mind that when you purchase Samsung’s smallest TVs, they are setup at factory setting which means it is set to neutral. Hence, if you wish to adjust its picture setting, you may do so. All you have to do is go to settings, select picture, go to expert settings and you are good to go.

As for its sound, however, we are quite not that impressed but they are decent enough which allows you to still enjoy watching your favorite shows.

If you are into video games, both Samsung Q50R and Q60A supports gaming. They have low input lag and they are very responsive with its refresh rate being limited to 60Hz. Unfortunately, they do not support variable refresh rate technology. As for its contrast ratio, these TV are simply amazing. It allows you to play games in the dark which is very convenient.

Benefits of 4K HDR

We highly recommend that you purchase a TV that comes with a combination of both 4K and HDR bundled all together. It could boost your gaming and entertainment experience. Fortunately, both Q50R and Q60A come in bundles of 4K and HDR. Furthermore, their resolution type is 4K. Take in mind that when you compare 4K with HD, 4K is much clearer and it brings pictures more to life-like type. HDR on the other hand would provide you a much wider color gamut.

Benefits of a smaller screen

  • Space saver
  • Could easily be relocated
  • Price is more affordable compared to bigger types of TV
  • Could easily fit smaller space.
