2025 Infiniti QX80 gets a turbocharged V6 with 450 hp

The Infiniti QX80 is getting ready to say goodbye to its V8 engine, since Infiniti has announced that the redesigned 2025 QX60 will be powered by a V6.

The 2025 QX80 will feature a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 under its hood that generates 450 horsepower and 515 pound-feet of torque. That’s an increase of 50 hp and 102 lb-ft compared to the old V8. The V6 is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission with a 40 percent wider gear ratio range.

We don’t have the EPA specs yet, but Infiniti says that the new V6 will improve the QX80’s fuel economy specs.

The 2025 QX80 will also be available with Electronic Air Suspension and Dynamic Digital Suspension systems. The air suspension automatically lowers when the QX80 when it is parked to make it easier to get in. The Dynamic Digital Suspension constantly monitors the QX80’s motions to reduce body motion.

The 2025 Infiniti QX80 will debut on March 20.
