2025 Porsche Taycan is the fastest production Porsche ever

Porsche has unveiled the updated 2025 Porsche Taycan with a comprehensive set of changes to keep it stylistically fresh and technologically competitive.

Porsche tends to make midcycle refreshes of their cars quite conservative, and the 2025 Porsche Taycan is no exception. The 2025 Porsche Taycan will continue to be available in both sedan and Cross Turismo versions. To emphasize its width, the 2025 Porsche Taycan receives slightly squintier headlights with updated lighting graphics along with flatter front fenders. Around back, we find a new three-dimensional design for the rear light bar, with the option to have an illuminated Porsche symbol, capable welcome and goodbye animations. All models of the 2025 Porsche Taycan will also feature new wheel designs with improved aerodynamics.

Inside, base model Taycans will receive brushed-aluminum door sills and two new interior colors, Black and Slate Gray, which feature Porsche’s Race-Tex microfiber upholstery paired with their iconic houndstooth cloth. The interior displays have also been updated, and there’s new Apple CarPlay functionality, with the system able to control the 2025 Porsche Taycan’s climate and radio station selections without leaving the CarPlay interface. Newly standard interior features include ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, and wireless smartphone charging.

All models of the 2025 Porsche Taycan will accelerate faster than their predecessor, the slowest of which is now capable of a 0-60 sprint in 4.5 seconds (down 0.6 seconds). The real news is with the 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo S, which whittles its 0-60 time down to 2.3 seconds, a decrease of 0.3 seconds thanks to a boost in system output to 939 hp when using launch control. This makes the 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo S the fastest production model they’ve ever produced.

Porsche has also worked hard to increase the 2025 Porsche Taycan’s range and efficiency. Changes include a modified pulse inverter, a new rear-axle motor with up to 80kW more power, revised thermal management, a next-generation heat pump, and more. These changes, combined with larger batteries, will allow the 2025 Porsche Taycan to travel further than its predecessor (though Porsche has yet to announce official range numbers). The 2025 Porsche Taycan can now charge up to 320 kW, up from 270 kW, reducing the time it takes to charge at a fast charging station.

The 2025 Porsche Taycan will start at $101,395, including a $1,995 destination fee. This is a significant increase over the 2024 Porsche Taycan, which begins at $94,200, including a $1,650 destination fee. Porsche says this increase is justified by the 2025 Porsche Taycan’s longer list of standard features, including an adaptive air suspension. Porsche Active Ride control will also be available on AWD models.

2025 Porsche Taycan pricing (including $1,995 destination fee) –

2025 Taycan – $101,395
2025 Taycan 4S – $120,495
2025 Taycan Turbo – $175,595
2025 Taycan Turbo S – $210,995
2025 Taycan 4 Cross Turismo – $113,095
2025 Taycan 4S Cross Turismo – $127,195
2025 Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo – $178,295
