It’s not always easy to get customers on board, so when you do get them it’s important to make sure you can retain them.

Choose the customers you want to work with:

Know the people you want to work with and don’t be afraid to say ‘no’ to people that don’t fit into your customer base.

Don’t be afraid to be different, you’ll need to stick out of your competition. If you want customer to switch over to you make yourself stand out.

Get feedback:

Ask your customers what they think of your service, the good and the bad, this allows you to know what you can improve on and what you are doing well.

The smallest thing can matter:

Remember what may not seem a big thing to you, could be a major thing for your customers.

Keep records:

Be pro-active and keep a record of your customers purchases and items they have shown interest in as this will be data for you to use for future sales opportunities or mail outs. Make a note of where your customers are coming from this will allow to monitor the lifetime of your customers and where to spend advertising budget.

Remember how valuable a first impression is:

You only get one chance to make a first Impression and this leaves a lasting impression, customers form an opinion in as little as 20 seconds. Make sure this impression is one you want associated with your business.

It really is as simple as that, think how you would want to be treated and treat your customers the same way
