  • Fast performance.
  • TAA compliant.

The WGS-6325-8UP2X offers flexible installation options, is easy to operate, and can adapt to any environment.

Where is the WGS-6325-8UP2X L3 Managed Switch used?

Planet designed the WGS-6325-8UP2X wall-mounted switch to fit easily into any space-limited location. Using all four pairs of standard CAT5e/6 Ethernet cables, this model can source up to 95 watts of power.

The WGS-6325-8UP2X is an ideal solution for high-power consuming network-powered devices such as:

  • Remote digital signage displays.
  • PoE PTZ speed dome cameras.
  • PoE lighting.
  • All-in-one touch PCs.
  • Point of Sale and information kiosks.
  • Thin clients.

With an option to install using fixed wall mounting, the switch is endlessly flexible and can be used as a backbone device in industrial enterprises, telecom, and data center applications.

Significant Features of the WGS-6325-8UP2X L3 Managed Switch

The WGS-6325-8UP2X has a maximum power consumption of 496.9W/1694.43BTU at dual 54V DC inputs. Notable features of the switch include:

Advanced L3 Switching and Security

The industrial wall-mount PoE++ managed switch allows connection to a broader network structure with layer 3 dynamic routing, providing ultra-high transmission performance. IPv4/IPv6 VLAN routing software crosses over different VLANs and IP addresses for enhanced security and management flexibility.

Redundant Ring Fast Recovery for Critical Network Applications

Incorporating advanced ITU-T G.8032 ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) technology, Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1s MSTP), and dual power input into industrial automation networks, the WGS-6325-8UP2X offers advanced system reliability and uptime in harsh factory environments. The switch supports redundant ring technology and features a rapid self-recovery capability to prevent interruptions and external intrusions.

PoE Type 4 95-Watt Power Over 4-Pair UTP

By adopting the IEEE 802.bt PoE++ standard, this industrial wall-mounted switch can source up to 95 watts of power through four pairs of standard Ethernet cabling to remote PoE-compliant PDs. That’s triple the capability of conventional 802.3at PoE+.

Unique Built-in PoE Device Functions

The WGS-6325-8UP2X is a managed PoE switch for wireless, surveillance, and VoIP networks. The following special PoE management functions are built-in.

  • Scheduled power recycling: Connected PoE IP cameras or wireless access points can be set to reboot at a specific time each week. This feature helps reduce the chance of a crash resulting from buffer overflow.
  • PD alive check: Connected PD statuses can be monitored in real-time via ping action. If the PD stops working and doesn’t respond, the switch will resume the PoE power port and bring the PD back online.
  • PoE schedule function for energy savings: The PoE schedule function helps users reduce their power budgets by turning on or off PoE power feeding for each PoE port. This feature also increases security by automatically powering off PDs that should not be online during non-business hours.
  • PoE usage monitoring: The switch supports SFP-DDM (Small Form-factor Pluggable – Digital Diagnostic Monitor), which monitors real-time parameters such as optical output power, optical input power, temperature, laser bias current, and transceiver supply voltage.

Two additional SFP slots built into the switch support multispeed 100 BASE-FX, 1000 BASE-SX/LX, and 2500 BASE-X SFP fiber optic modules. These slots allow users to choose an SFP transceiver suitable for their transmission distance and desired speed.

ONVIF Device Support for Video/IP Surveillance Systems

The Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) provides a standard for the interface between different IP-based security devices. The WGS-6325-8UP2X’s graphical user interface (GUI) can show all the ONVIF devices in a network. Images can be uploaded to the switch to monitor assembly lines.

SMTP/SNMP Trap Event Alert

The SMTP/SNMP trap event alert function aids in diagnosing an abnormal device. This feature alerts the user if the switch detects a break in the network connection and rebooting response.

Robust OSI Layer 2 Features Supporting Up to 2 Trunk Groups

To support the operation of a high-speed trunk combining multiple ports, the WGS-6325-8UP2X enables a maximum of up to two trunk groups with two ports per trunk. It can be programmed for advanced switch management functions like dynamic port link aggregation, Q-in-Q VLAN, private VLAN, Layer 2 to Layer 4 QoS, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, IGMP snooping, and bandwidth control.

Enhanced Cybersecurity Helps Minimize Security Risks

The WGS-6325-8UP2X supports SSHv2 and TLSv1.2 protocols to provide strong protection against advanced cyberthreats. This feature protects management of the switch and enhances the security of mission-critical networks without extra cost or effort.
