Honor’s Note 10 Competes with Samsung’s Best at a Much Lower Price Point

The Honor Note 10 has finally made its official debut and comes with a footprint of phablet format with a 7-inch display.

It comes with decent high-end specifications and rivals flagships with its high price tag.

Design and representation

As mentioned earlier, Honor Note 10 is a giant phablet and has the same internals as most recently launched flagships. The design is similar to most Honor phones that have been launched recently.

It has the same shiny, and a little boxy outer body with trimmed edges this time. The frame is made of metal, while the outer casing is made of glass. The fingerprint sensor is mounted at the back.

The screen is a gigantic 6.95-inch AMOLED panel with a FHD + (1080 x 2220) resolution. There is no question, so that is a plus for some. The display technology is similar to that of Samsung phones and also supports HDR10 with 115% NTSC color gut cover.

Hardware and storage

Inside the covers you get a Kirin 970 chipset made by Huawei (this was launched in 2017 against the Snapdragon 835). The chipset has been introduced along the previous flagships of Huawei, but it is still one of the best smartphone chipsets these days. RAM comes in 6 or 8 GB formats.

You can get 64 or 128 GB of storage with the 6 GB RAM model, but the 8 GB version only gets 128 GB of storage. Fortunately, it has a Hybrid Dual Sim slot, so you do not miss anything if you have a 64 GB version.

Camera & software

The Honor Note 10 gets a dual-cam set up at the back, powered by the same AI-kindness for simple professional shots.

The primary sensor on the rear 16 MP resolution for sports with an aperture of f / 1.8. Meanwhile, the corresponding sensor black-and-white photo ?? s takes low light and manages up to 24 MP photos. It also has an aperture of f / 1.8, with Gyro-EIS for stability, and can make up to 4K videos.

The camera on the front also has AI embellishment and blur properties. It can cost 13 MP selfies at a f / 2.0 aperture. However, this camera can record up to 1080p videos.

The software is Android 8.1 Oreo from the packaging, on which Huawei's own EMUI 8.2 is executed. Honor Note 10 also supports the company's recently launched Gpu Turbo Technology, which makes games more sophisticated and improves the overall frame rate without compromising battery life. It has a special hardware button that can be pressed to activate GPU Turbo technology.

The same button can also be used as a camera shutter.

Battery, price and availability

Like the Mi Max 3 from Xiaomi, Honor Note 10 is home to a gigantic 5,000 mAh battery. It also supports Huawei's Super Charge technology, so it will not be a problem to charge it. Color options are Midnight Black and Phantom Blue.

The price options start with the cheapest model of 6/64 GB, which costs CNY 2,799 (~ Rs. 50,000), 6/128 GB at CNY 3,199 (~ Rs. 57,500) and the 8/128 GB variant for CNY 3,599 (~ Rs 64,500).

It will be delivered from August 31, but it is already available for pre-order in China.
