We have often heard of the expression that cleanliness is considered next to divinity. However, a famous café in Butter, in Lahore, was found in absolute contempt of the basic principles of hygiene and cleanliness.

The rather famous and chic eatery was subject to strong criticism of Social Media because photos of the allegedly unsafe hygiene practices went viral over social media.

It all started when a customer, Haider Bokhari, recently enjoyed a meal in the fancy eatery and ordered a sandwich. What he discovered later in the laundry room of the eatery was shocking to say the least.

Trays where they do not deviate

The food at Butler & # 39; s is normally served on wooden trays. Haider, the person who witnessed the horror story, served his sandwich on the same tray.

Before he began to eat his meal, Mr. Bukhari went to wash his hands just to get a rough shake in the laundry room. Disgusted by what he found in Butler's laundry room, he quickly adopted social media and told his story

The message on the social media has read:

My sandwiches were served on a wooden tray. I wanted to wash my hands before eating, so I went to the laundry room. (However) a note that the laundry room was & # 39; out of order & # 39; was posted on the door. Because I only had to wash my hands, I went in any way.

He then talks about what he saw in the washroom,

When I entered the laundry room, to my horror was something disgusting. Wooden trays such as those on which my sandwich was served were placed directly next to the toilet to dry because there was not enough space in the kitchen. Laundry room was perfectly functional. I felt betrayed and repulsive and left the restaurant.

The viral mail quickly came to the attention of the ever active Punjab Food Authority, who also decided to take action against the café

The reaction of the authority

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has recently been active against eateries that violate the health code in the province.

As soon as the word reached them, they decided to close the eatery. Ali Moeen Nawazish also confirmed the development in another post on social media.

The Punjab Food Authority Force also posted on their social media page and said:

On a public complaint received on social media, a PFA investigation team confirmed the unhygienic / repulsive act shown below. The café on the MM Alam road is closed and the owner has made a personal call.

We contacted Butler & # 39; s Cafe to receive their response to these accusations. The restaurant has, however, so far not issued a statement about the lack of good hygiene in their branch in Lahore.
