Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have started Android 8.0 Oreo in India, according to user reports. The new software update was rolled out in South Korea at the beginning of May and the limited rollout resumed after a sudden suspension at the beginning as a result of some unexpected restarts. In addition to other features, it brings the April Android security patch. The update is reportedly also being rolled out in the United Arab Emirates. Earlier this year, Samsung released Android 8.0 Oreo for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + to offer the latest experience on the flagship of the previous year.

The Android Oreo update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is rolling out in India with April Android security and Samsung Experience 9.0, reports SamMobile. The update would be about 1.4 GB in size. It is also reported that it includes the most original Android Oreo functions, including Smart Autofill and Picture-in-Picture mode.

In addition to the most important changes, the Android Oreo update also includes Samsung Knox 3.1 with Knox API level 25 and TIMA 3.3.0. Some apps must be updated manually before the update process begins. These include Samsung Internet, Memo and Email. Furthermore, the arrival of Samsung Experience 9.0 brings a large number of new emoji's.

As with other Android updates, the Android Oreo update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is being rolled out batchwise as an exaggerated -air (OTA) package.
