The planned date for the forthcoming general elections is July 25, 2018. Hopefully, all those who are 18 years or older have their voices registered! Some may believe that it is not a big problem if they do not vote, whatever it is. It is time that we stop thinking or that our voice does not matter and take part in making Pakistan a country. By voting and taking part in the elections, we not only let our voices be heard, we also play a role in how this country will be governed. We choose people by voting who will govern our state, which will then affect our education, health, taxes. etc.

The rise of the voter will show how invested the population of Pakistan is in the political process of their country.

We are the youth of our country and we have to set a precedent for the next generation by fully participating in elections. The youth is also much larger in Pakistan than the older elderly, so we can make a change. Because voting is an excellent way to exclude anyone who has not played a positive role in the area where you are staying, you can choose those candidates who will contribute to improving your society. By voting in a responsible manner, we choose candidates who shape the future of our respective constituencies.

The citizens of a country determine how prosperous that country will be. By spreading awareness, being a citizen, exercising our voting rights, we all play a role in making Pakistan much more progressive. Ultimately, we owe it to ourselves to take the responsibility to choose our leaders, candidates who represent us, and to present our problems and standpoints when they make laws and implement them.

Your voice, however, is a huge responsibility, so do not give it to anyone.

Registering himself was the easy part, here comes the actual part. Each citizen has two votes, one for our National Assembly, which is our central government, and one for the provincial assembly, for the province in which you live. Two different persons from each party stand from each post and you can decide to give it to the same party, or even another if you want. So, how do you decide? You can do your research on different political parties and their members.

Make sure that the person / party for whom you decide to vote has actually invested in your district, that they have made their promises, have done productive work that is useful and useful for everyone has been shown

If they say for example that they repair a road or repair something as simple as a streetlight, right? You can learn this by contacting your local authorities through their respective websites. You can ask questions regarding your respective area (except questions regarding defense and security) because you have a "right to know" according to our constitution. You can also go to the official website of the National Assembly and take a look at which party has adopted the laws in the 2013-2018 regime. Finally, only reading articles and debates related to the candidate / party will also help you gain knowledge about them.

For example, my constituency is NA 125, the main candidates of my constituency would be Maryam Nawaz for Pakistan Muslim Competition – Nawaz and Dr. Yasmeen Rashid for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, I can start my research on it. Just because I prefer a certain political party, this does not mean that I will cast my vote on the person standing up for that party in my constituency. I will cast my vote on the member that I know who has been most productive in my region, regardless of the party they are associated with.

Read party manifestos so you know what the future can bring if that party wins .

A party manifesto is a guide to the policy that each party intends to introduce when they are in power, they are available online, usually on the website of the party . This is an example of a party manifesto.

A party manifesto is another way to get to know the party, their opinions and their convictions. So it can help us decide who we want to vote for. While the plan of the party for the next five is written in their manifesto, people can hold them accountable. We have what they promised in writing, and we can officially demand it from them as soon as they come to power.

Find out which manifest is speaking to you. Does the manifest have something that you are behind and what you are looking for? Have they been consistent in the past with serving their constituency? The most important thing is that this person / party has used the parliament effectively? Do they attend sessions and discuss important matters of public interest in the National Assembly / Provincial Assembly? These are all questions that you have to ask yourself before you cast your vote!

Now, with all this research and knowledge you hold, all you can do is express your opinion ! All you have to do is go to the ballot box on the day of the election and vote. You do not have to tell anyone who you vote for. Do not be forced by everyone or feel bad about who you vote, it is everyone's personal choice!

Remember, voting is your decision – not that of your family or friends. & # 39; You might feel that you have to vote for a certain political party just because your family is connected to it, but you really do not. That is your voice remains anonymous, so you will not feel that you are under pressure when you vote.

Voting is a big responsibility that every citizen has, use him wisely. Think clearly, because who wins, will rule our homeland for the next 5 years!

We keep talking about change and want to build a better country. Well, we have that power, so let's use it right. Let us know which party manifestation you are looking forward to reading! Are you still confused about the process? Share it with us in the comments.
