The legendary cricketer used his Twitter handle to transfer his message to the UBL president. He addressed the chairman Anwar Parvez via the tweet:
It is my humble request to Sir Anwar Parvez Saab, the president of Bestway, to reconsider their decision regarding leaving the @UBLDigital cricket team. It can only be detrimental to our beloved country Pakistan and it is cricket. #SaveUBL

No more departmental cricket
The bank recently announced that they are removing their cricket team from the domestic circuit and the cricketer has continually acted against it. Younus recently spoke with the media at the UBL academy and emphasized how much hard work the young people contribute. He added that they will be disappointed if they lose a good cricket platform like UBL.
Younus told:
UBL is the only department with such good intentions. Young players, in their training center, will certainly be discouraged by this action. How does it sound that we will lead the cricket academy, but will the cricket team close? It does not seem fair.
The cricketer added,
UBL are the ruling departmental one-day champions and have eight or nine current national players in their ranks. I hope that the relevant quarters will pay attention to my plea.
Many cricket players including Sarfraz Ahmed pointed out that the end of departmental cricket is not good news for the cricket city of Pakistan.
