Devaluation of Rupee
Al-Haj FAW is the second company to announce a third price increase for the year, following Pak Suzuki, and other companies, including Honda Pakistan and Toyota Indus, will most likely soon raise prices
Like the rest of the car manufacturers, FAW says that their recent price changes have been made in response to the declining value of the rupee. Since these companies rely heavily on non-localized imported components, any fluctuations in the foreign reserves significantly affect their import costs for important materials.
