JW Forland Automotive has dedicated its state-of-the-art assembly plant in the provincial metropolis of Punjab. The new assembly plant in Lahore strengthens JW's position in the commercial vehicle segment, where demand is expected to rise as a result of CPEC.

The company aims to produce environmentally friendly and economical cars in Pakistan. It is also aimed at creating more jobs on the local market.

The president of the JW group had this to say during the inauguration:

Here on the JW Forland car line, we turn dreams and ambitions for the automotive sector into reality, making our partners the world's most innovative car manufacturers to lighten their vehicles, reducing fuel consumption and emissions during the use will be limited.

CEO of JW Forland Alex and CEO of Haier Javed Afridi were also present at the ceremony. Alex added that JW's assembly line will help industry in Pakistan by creating more environmentally friendly vehicles. Javed Afridi also appreciated the Chinese investment in the country that helps create more jobs and strengthen the Pakistani economy.
