Asus ZenBook Pro Comes With a Touchscreen Display Instead of a Trackpad

We should have seen this coming, but in some way we did not. Asus is updating its flagship ZenBook Pro 15 laptop, and instead of a touchpad the laptop comes with a full screen with touch screen and it does not look like the gimmicks.

Design

Called the ScreenPad, the 5.5 "screen has a resolution of 1080p and a matte finish.

It can be used to display things like the app drawer, calculator, numpad and more, or it can easily be expanded to show what is being played in the main display.

Elsewhere the machine remains its male. There is a choice of 15.6-inch or 14-inch LCD screens with 100% RGB coverage, with a maximum resolution of 4K and a touch screen. It will not win many design awards with its thickness of 18.9 mm, but it does come with an attractive Deep Dive Blue body.

Hardware

Under the bonnet you get one of Intel's new Core i5-8300H, i7-8750H and i9-8950HK processors, up to 16 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe-based SSD. The graphic option here is a 4 GB GTX 1050 Ti card on the 15-inch model, with the 14-inch version reportedly doing it with a GTX 1050 card.

For connections you get 2 USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3, 2 USB-A, HDMI 1.4, card reader Gigabit Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and Harmon Kardon speakers.

Battery and price

The lifetime of the battery could last up to 10 hours with a single charge, although the 14-inch model increases it to 13 hours.

The price is set at $ 2299 for the laptop, which will launch the 15 and 14-inch versions in July and the third quarter respectively.
