I Finally Watched “Veere Di Wedding” And I Have Mixed Feelings About It Now

There has been a lot of hype around Veere Di Wedding. In addition, there is also a lot of indignation about the assumed vulgarity and obscenity in the film. Now a film intrigued with so much controversy. So I went ahead and looked at it.

Now I am sure you are wondering KAHAN DEKHI MOVIE?

Well, a random person has uploaded the entire movie on Facebook. It was not good, but as I said, I was intrigued.

I also understand that one of the main characters Pakistan & # 39; a failing state & # 39; called. However, I am also a Literature student and an important lesson that I have learned is that we must separate the art from the artist, and see both as individual entities.

Ab sab kuch clarifies hogaya tou-film ki taraf barhtay hain.

Veere Di Wedding is a film about four friends who try to process their lives and actually with marriage. It is a coming-of-age film to use the overestimated phrase. The girls call themselves & # 39; Veere & # 39; s & # 39; what in Punjabi & # 39; brothers & # 39; means (ironically, since the film is about women).

Khair to further explore the four women:

Kareena Kapoor Khan – Kalindi, in the film – is getting married and the central premise of the film revolves around her and her family affairs. Sonam Kapoor – Avni – is a lawyer, Swara Bhasker (or she who may not be called) plays Sakhshi who is about to divorce, and Shikha Talsani plays Meera, who is married to an American man and was taken out of her own family .

The plot revolves around marriage because all four friends come together to celebrate their spring wedding. Lekin a Bollywood film can not be complete without drama and ShowSha (shoutout to our entertainment section).

As a film that supposedly revolves around female friendships, it certainly does fulfill that promise.

Veere Di Wedding is a relief in a world where women constantly walk together. There are no superficial battles about men, and it warms my heart to see how such strong, independent women support each other without hidden agendas.

The plot of the film, however, is a bit messy.

The film tries to tackle many different stereotypes, such as female friendships, homosexual relationships, the uselessness of excessive weddings, family drop-outs and the image of independent women. It feels rushed and the storyline seems inadequate. In addition, there are scenes that can be eliminated and the whole film is less rushed. For example, the assembly of their trip to Thailand did not seem necessary. The film would probably have been good without it.

Now, coming on the famous "vulgar and obscene" aspects of the film.

The four women curse a fate. Although we can discuss the disadvantages of cursing for a long time, we need to understand that people, more specifically women, are cursing. Morality tou baat kai hai .

The cursing seems only vulgar for people because they are women who curse.

Let's not forget that Sonu Ki Titu allowed Ki Sweety to be released in Pakistan and cinemas broadcast the film for a long time. That film let men scold each other, but it is of course the male gender that is entitled to even an apparently "vulgar and obscene" act.

A vast majority of Bollywood films portray men as hyper-male and women as either abla toi & # 39; s or airy bimbos. The women in the film have daring, realistic conversations.

It is refreshing to see that such realistic conversations find their way to the big screen. It normalizes the fact that women do indeed talk about and have sex. And sex ka bhi kyun rona ro rahe hain. Angraizi filmein toh jaise hum dekhtay hee nahi. And honestly, there was only one scene in which the character of Sonam Kapoor has a one-night view.

An important aspect to keep in mind is that this film takes place in modern-day India – a country where the conversation about sexuality, freedom and liberalization takes place.

What is important to keep in mind while watching the movie is that parts of India are more liberal than Pakistan. What Veere Di Wedding portrays is INDIAN women who live in an INDIAN society.

The film does not aim to be scandalous. Not at all. It aims to bring the image of the modern Indian woman to the fore.

I do not understand the indignation about the film. There was nothing special except the fact that all these dialogues were spoken by women.

That is the problem people have with the film. If this film had male characters, it would have been revered and loved by everyone. In fact, that is what happens to most films with male protagonists. It is not the film that is the problem – it is the lack of acceptance by society of the fact that women are also human.

It bothers us that women take charge of the story. They are unashamedly brutal. It bothers us that they step out of their shell and say, "This is us, in all our imperfect glory." [194590]

Although the plot seems cluttered and in some places tries to reach too much, it can not be denied that the thematic content is beautiful. It is not the best Bollywood film – not even in the neighborhood, but Veere Di Wedding is a great movie if you want to watch a female-dominated film that awakens AF.
