The availability of memory integrated circuits is constantly changing, and we are looking forward to putting the old DIMMs behind us, but a kit remains interesting only because it continues to beat all the new features: T-modules Dark Force ROGs use twice as many integrated circuits at half the density to fill both sides of a full rank. This is surprisingly like having two modules on a single slot, and this allows two DIMMS to satisfy the preference of the Intel memory controller for four ranks.
Once the old integrated circuits are removed, the double-row DIMMs will only be available at 16 GB each (that is, you will need to buy 32 GB to get four ranks in total ). We can not wait to test more 32GB kits, for those who can afford them …
We expanded to the outside of our Corsair DDR4-4600 review by switching to a card that supports four DIMMs. The Godlike Gaming Z370 from MSI does not benefit from the memory overclocking advantages of the smaller card used in this review, but it has a similar scale of performance and can push many of our kits to the DDR4-4000. We also keep the material for its review, including its GeForce GTX 1080 card and its Toshiba / OCZ NVMe SSD.
