Stages Of Information Processing

INPUT STAGE (DATA)

a)Data is raw materials or unorganized facts.
b) Data is raw facts or figures that are to be entered into computer for processing.

Examples Of Data
Kofi, Kwame,John,One(1),Two(2),Car,Book, Pen etc.

TYPES OF DATA

Primary Data: They are facts obtained  usually through interviews,questionnaires and surveys.

Secondary Data: They are facts collected or created by someone other than the one who needs the data.

PROCESSING DATA (PROCESSING STAGE)

Processing involves turning the unput data into a code the computer understands.
At the processing stage, it is the computer's Central Processing Unit (CPU), Which performs this task.

Examples of processors are: Celeron, Pentinun, AMD, and MC68040

OUTPUT STAGE (INFORMATION)

*Information is a processed data by the computer
*Information is a collection of data organized in such a way that it an additional value.
*Information is usually obtained by output devices such as monitor, printer, speaker, etc.

STORAGE STAGE

*This stage keeps the information processed for future use.
*The information is kept on storage devices such as Hard disk, Pen drive, CD ROM, etc.
