On my personal front, I would recommend this accessory if you do not have touch functionality on your laptop.
If you carry laptop here and there in your backpack, then I would recommend you to carry a holder for AirBar as it is not robust and it may bend if it does not handle properly while travelling.
I will Suggest using a laptop screen protector so prevent accidental scratches on the screen (will confirm whether it works laptop having screen protectors).
