Gionee is about launching a new phone, Gionee S11 and it showed up on Chinese benchmark, TENAA days after M7 series went public. The 18:9 aspect ratio device is more like the follow up of the M7 body design but has Gionee S10 specification according to specs from TENAA.
Gionee could be the only company not following the idea of stopping at 10 when modeling phones.
Gionee S11 is a wide screen display with Full vision 6.01-inch display size like M7. The resolution is the same as S10, 1080 x 2160 pixels and Amoled type, all according to Tenaa. Another specs to liken this device to S10 is that Gionee S10 has four camera and while the Gionee S11 on TENAA showed up to the party with four cameras too. The camera pixels won't be that different, S11 has 20Mp and 8Mp behind, 16Mp and 8Mp on front, S11 will just follow suite.
If the processor speed and core of S10 and S11 are the same then, why would Gionee make the S11 anyway. Gionee S11 has eight cores and clocked at 2.5ghx TENAA says. S11 body is measuring 155.8 x 72.6 x 6.95mm and weighing in at 178 grams. An in-built 3,600 mAh battery. Other trending specs are a fingerprint reader on the back and an Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based OS.
Not only TENNA got the Gionee S11 tested but also GFXbench. Gionee S11 showed up on GFXbench party having a different contrasting specs like a quad-core processor and dumb to say 4M front camera. Most at time when a device get this dissimilar specs, there are chances the phone will be of two variants. My best guess is that the one on GFXbench which is not sweet at all might be just for Nigerian markets or African markets in general.
