The most popular Alcatel smartphones Idol 4 and Idol 4S might receive Android nougat update. Alcatel being one of the oldest phone companies, with the arrival of smartphones, stayed a bit behind some other less known companies.. Alcatel, just like Nokia company, did not catch up with the newest trends and dont have many popular models on the market yet the only 2 popular models of Idol seria 4 and 4S might be upgraded to Android Nougat 7.0 soon.
Alcatel Idol devices are running on Marshmallow, Android 6.0 at the moment and the users are inpatiently waiting for un upgrade.
The Release Date of Android Nougat For Alcatel Devices:
The exact release date of Nougat 7 for Alcatel Idol remains unknown still but the company said, we can officially announce it anytime after the second mid of 2017 in which we already are by now so an offical announce for Alcatel software upgrade and ROMs can pop up anytime soon!
Alcatel mobiles are not the best Android mobiles in the world for sure but with its competitive prices still they are chosen by many people worldwide. Also there are Alcatel fans and addicts as well who can never give up on Idol series but still tech-lover who are looking for a possible upgrade to the latest Android OS version; Nougat 7.0 or so calles Android N.
While a great majority of the smartphone companies like Samsung, still did not release the update for even their major series like some Galaxy or Note models and especially for J7 prime Nougat, it will be a big surprise that Alcatel upgrades to Android 7.0.
Even if it doesnt release the latest version; Alcatel is still a good choice for a smartphone considering that the price is lower than 300 USDs.
The Idol series has its own advantages and disadvantages. As told you before, not the best phone ever. The battery power of Alcatel Idol could be much better. And the camera focuses very late for taking photos. – my own experiences – BUT
Except that running already on Marshmallow OS, having a wide 5.5-inch Quad HD display of the AMOLED variety, powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor, 3 gigabytes of RAM and a 3000mAh battery, Alcatel Idol is a very good choice taking into consideration the price of it.
Furthermore, if it upgrades to Nougat which most probably be, it will be one step further from the %92 of the smartphones in the world which dont recieve Android Nougat yet and probably at least more than half of them never will be running on 7.0 version.
