Xiaomi recently announced that it is going to launch a new budget smartphone in China called the Redmi S2. While we knew that the smartphone will launch on 10th May 2018, we didn’t knew the pricing of the upcoming budget smartphone by Xiaomi.

Now we have the Leaked pricing as well as some leaked poster images. According to a report by MyDrivers, Xiaomi Redmi S2 will be priced at less than CNY 1,000 in China, around ₹10,600 in India. We might see a higher RAM+Storage configuration above ₹10,000.

Along with the pricing, there is also an official poster leak, which gives us a good look at the design of the smartphone. The smartphone will be available in gold colour variant along with antena lines at the top and bottom. It will come with a dual-camera setup with a confirmed 12-megapixel primary sensor.

The secondary sensor is expected to be of 5-megapixel and the smartphone will be available in China via suning.com. Now coming to the previously leaked specifications. Xiaomi Redmi S2 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage expandable via MicroSD.

It will come with a 5.99-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display and will house a 3080mAh battery. Redmi S2 will on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with MIUI 9 on top.  Let’s see when will Xiaomi launch this in India and most importantly at what price. Stay tuned to Sid Tech for more tech updates.
