This touch laptop for who spend most of their times at the office or playing heavy games and need a good and gaming laptop with 17 inch display and high performance. The performance is good for basic productivity and light photo to video editing.
Laptop Performance
For this Touch Screen Laptop 17 inch you will get a high performance so you will be able to do all your daily works at the office and run all new heavy games.
For the processor, you will get Intel Dual Core i7-6500U 2.5 GHz Processor (4MB Cache, up to 3.10 GHz) running with 16 GB DDR3L SDRAM and 2 TB HDD Hard Drive. For the graphic co-processor, you will get AMD Radeon R5 M335 4GB DDR3. Note: You can change this performance before buying the laptop with few dollars different at the price.
Design And Build Quality
The top of the lid and upon arrest is made a full aluminum, both sections were made out of one solid piece of aluminum so it feels very slick and it does a great job of resisting finger prints. So The top section here feels pretty rigid because it’s a full piece of aluminum.
The bottom is based out of plastic and it makes a big difference, The rigidness from all around the laptop feels lost once you fill the bottom side, I was really hoping that they would finally replace the plastic cover with the full sheet of aluminum.
The weight and height are pretty nice for a laptop with 17 inch display, it comes at 7.3 pounds with a height of 1.1 inches and there is some keyboard flex around this laptop especially around the centerpiece.
Laptop Ports
Now for ports on the left side, you got your AC charging port, full-size HDMI port, rj45 Ethernet port, 2 USB 3 ports, SD card reader and headset microphone jack combo.
On the right side, you got your security lock slot, a DVD drive and two more USB 3 ports.
Touch Screen Laptop 17 inch Performance
You will get in this laptop 17.3 inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels as Max Screen Resolution, This 17 inch display is provided by chi mei, The colors are accurate and the contrast ratios are actually pretty good, for TN panel is pretty nice and the colors pop and look vivid sRGB with coverage came at 97% and the adobe RGB came in a 75%, So these scores are very high and pretty good if you compare it with other touch screen laptops in the average price.
The brightness levels were also pretty good during in the word usage I kept the brightness at around 50% To 60% and the viewing angles are pretty impressive for TN panel, Overall this panel does a great job of producing accurate colors and viewing angles.
The Only downside in this panel is how reflective is if you work by windows and have bright lighting in your office be sure to keep that in mind while making this purchase, hopefully for the next generation will see more options like a matte display.
You also get a touch screen panel with the 17.3 inch display, scrolling and multi-touch gestures were smooth and precise, overall the touchscreen performance was good.
Keyboard And Track-Pad
This track-pad has a plastic finish so that feels a cheap if you compared with the dell XPS 13 however the performance is actually pretty good, two-finger scrolling and multi-touch gestures have been accurate and responsive, The tracking performance has also been smooth sailing.
For the keyboard you get a full-size keyboard and it is spacious and the fill is pretty good by the queue travel is kind of short for a big bulky touch screen laptop like this one.
The key travel should be excellent with that being said the keyboard was adequate.
You also get a backlit keyboard with two stage lighting either get low or high.
Fan Noise Test
During medium to heavy loads the fans can be loud at times but if you just browsing the web and performing light tasks the fan noise levels are not really an issue.
Battery Life
For the battery performance I was getting around 5.5 to 6.5 hours out of a full charge with the touch screen brightness set at around 50%, now for the next generation I would like to see a bigger battery pack in there.
