Building on the success across its CI division, Alltrade has opened two new trade counters in Berkshire and Greater Manchester.

Bringing the number of Alltrade Trade Counters across the country to seven, the two new branches opened for business on schedule at the end of March. The company says the new units are in prime, easily accessible locations in the towns of Reading and Bolton. As with all of Alltrade’s trade counters, the new branches stock a range of Alltrade’s products and have been fitted with Fully interactive installer training rooms.

Alltrade MD, Steve Simper, comments, “With outstanding growth across our CI division we wanted a greater presence in the affluent areas of the M4 corridor and the North West. Having located and secured both new sites last year, we have had them fully refitted to our specification and incorporated extensive installer training facilities. We have also ensured both new trade counters have experienced, knowledgeable staff from the outset, including Nick Cain, branch manager at Bolton, and Leevan Smith, branch manager at Reading.”

The Bolton branch is Alltrade’s first trade counter dedicated to CI technologies and represents a major expansion into the north of the country. The 6,000 sqft building is shared with leading CI software development company, DemoPad. The facility allows DemoPad to offer full training and support to the North West while Alltrade delivers all the benefits of its Trade Counters, including project planning, support and instant access to a vast portfolio of CI products.

The new Reading branch is just a few minutes drive off the M4 on an expansive industrial park with plenty of parking. Alltrade has taken the 2,500 sqft unit at the front of the site and fully refitted the space to its trade counter specification. This includes a fully stocked warehouse, customer facing trade counter and a mezzanine floor with interactive training room.

Pulling in experienced staff from other regions as well as acquiring senior’ members of staff from other CI and signal trade distributors, both trade counters were fully up and running from day 1. Opening events at each site saw trade customers and suppliers alike in attendance, with business described as ‘brisk’ at both locations.

At the Reading opening event, Ambi Sond from AVN Productions in nearby Wokingham, commented, “We only work with products and suppliers that mirror our ethos of having quality and reliability balanced with value for money and Alltrade fits that criteria perfectly. “The Reading branch is ideally located for us. While we have used Alltrade for years, the Hemel Hempstead branch is quite a trek, so we generally use Alltrade’s next-day delivery in its own vans. This new facility brings all of the benefits of the Trade Counter into the heart of our business area.”

The new Alltrade Trade Counters are located at Unit A, Lambs Farm Business Park, Swallowfield, Reading, RG7 1PQ and Unit 4, Document Interlink Building, Tonge Bridge Way, Bolton, BL2 6BF. Both new sites are fully open for business and accepting new trade accounts now.
