Yamaha’s 2016 AV Receivers Now Support Dolby Vision, HLG, Tidal and Deezer

Habitech Yamaha AVENTAGE

Those considering swapping out Yamaha’s 2016 AV receivers with newer, shinier models, needn’t bother. That’s because Yamaha has officially confirmed that last year’s line-up will be receiving some of this year’s must-have features – including support for Dolby Vision, Hybrid-Log Gamma, Tidal and Deezer.

Yamaha hasn’t yet confirmed when the firmware upgrade will be pushed out, but it has confirmed the models that will receive it. The models set to get the update are:

  • Yamaha RX-V681
  • Yamaha RX-A860
  • Yamaha RX-A1060
  • Yamaha RX-A2060
  • Yamaha RX-A3060
  • Yamaha CX-A5100

Depending on the model, some users will have almost all the features that adorn Yamaha’s latest offering – including support for Dolby Atmos and Yamaha’s MusicCast multi-room streaming service.
